Nice room, clean, great view, good breakfast and pool.
Noise from the street , we could not sleep. You need to go on the street to go to the reception and lounge. No sidewalk. This is dangerous.
The overall experience was awful, we felt humiliated from the beginning until the end by the person that manages this accomodation . Even though she found a solution for us we felt that she is doing us a big favour, she mentioned things like, I cannot give you the key for just you and your daughter until your husband gives me the proof that he booked a room somewhere else because for sure he will come to shower in your room . Or, at the end, she did not have a bill for what we ordered in our first day and now, after a couple of days she said to my daughter that for sure she drank a soda and imediately put it on the calculator. All the time we felt like we were some loosers that came there to steal something. I did not encounter this behavior until now!!! And believe me, it was not a matter of money! I am discussing here about the manager's empathy, communication skills, understanding etc. You cannot talk like this with your customers ! If they seem stupid, poor, rich, smart etc. someone that is a manager should be able to comunicate in a respectful way!
Forgot to mention that we were with a group of friends, we booked almost all the rooms from the hotel so I consider this also an important aspect, the manager should show some respect to all of us .
Also, she canceled our stay on Booking even if the advance was paid before and the rest of the amount was paid at check in. No response given for this and we lost our discount code of 10% on Booking because of this.
These are just few exemples for the reasons for not recommending this accomodation!
Later edit: our response to the hotel:
I said that the person solved our issue, the problem was the way she treated us. Also, why you cannot give me and my daughter the key since I paid for 2 adults? Do you consider that the way we were treated was OK? We went like that, with the kid because we wanted to be with the group, 7 families, we paid 200+ euro for half of another room for my husband, I do not consider this as a big favour and I am not saying that this was the issue. The issue is the way she made us feel: saying that you will come to shower here is professional?
How can you say that it is not your fault that the booking reservation is canceled? Since we paid in advance and at checkin and you cancel it while we were there because of wrong card details??
Also, regarding the bill, is it fair to ask me after 6 days what I ordered and to assume that my kid drank smth? I approached her asking for the bill so you cannot acuse me . Will you stay with your family after this comment in sun to wait ? We waited , in the sun, with the car started and after this we said that we will come back but one of our friends payed a bill that she mentioned that is for all the rooms , why don't you mention that? Bill that was made on paper , with no details. Does this sound like a great vacation to you?
Were you there to see how she treated us? Telling us to go to search a room in the neighbourhood ?? We did not comment anything, we just said that if there is no other room available then I will stay with my daughter. She mentioned that this is not a problem of money, the space does not allow 3 persons. Our room has 25m2, the triple one has 23m2. I understood, we were respectful, we did not comment anything , we said that we will pay what is needed to stay there with our friends, if possible. If not, we will search somewhere else a room for my husband. Why this attitude then? Even your response is proving this: you had a room for 2 and you should have been invited to leave and loose the deposit. Why? I am staying with my kid. How professional is this approach? Even the ideea that one of your customers is asked to leave, no matter the things he did is outrageous, where is the greek...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel in Parga expecting a top-notch experience, especially given the stellar 9.7/10 online reviews and a hefty price of 170€/night for a 3-star stay. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations.
Upon check-in, we were asked to pay the full amount up front, which we found strange, as that’s rarely the case in Greece unless the hotel anticipates people might leave early.
From the moment we entered the room, there was a strong moldy smell. The air conditioning unit was old and barely functioning on the first day. We mentioned both issues during breakfast (which was very basic and the area was swarming with bees, which we understand may be a local issue – but strangely we didn’t experience this anywhere else in Parga during our trip). While we were told they'd be checked, when we returned later that day the smell had gotten worse – although the A/C was finally working. There was no follow-up, apology, or any contact from the staff about the issue.
Upon closer inspection, the smell seemed to come from the bathroom ventilation system, which was green and visibly moldy inside – likely the result of a cheap renovation or poor maintenance.
The final straw was when a cockroach came out of the bathroom drain. We immediately told the manager we wanted to leave. A staff member came to the room and tried to convince us it wasn’t a cockroach and that what we saw was “just hair in the drain” – which was honestly insulting, considering we had just seen it walking on the wall. Only after we packed our things and insisted on leaving did they ask if we wanted to change rooms.
The positive: The pool area is genuinely lovely – relaxing, clean, and well-maintained. Staff were polite in general, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end.
Overall, this hotel was a major letdown. The quality and cleanliness did not match the price, and management clearly lacks basic understanding of customer service. A beautiful pool alone does not make up for an uncomfortable and unclean stay.
We wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it unless major improvements are made. Follow-up to Management’s Reply: I am disappointed, though not surprised, by the manager's response. Instead of addressing any of the actual concerns I raised – including a moldy smell, poor air conditioning, visible mold in the ventilation system, and a cockroach coming out of the bathroom drain – I am being accused of making “imaginary remarks” and creating tension to avoid a cancellation fee.
For clarity: I never asked to avoid any charges or penalties. I accepted that we would pay for the two nights we stayed. I simply did not feel comfortable staying in a room with hygiene issues, and I believe any guest would feel the same.
It’s unfortunate that the management chose to dismiss valid feedback and blame the guest instead of reflecting on ways to improve. My review was detailed because I believe in being fair and transparent, both for the benefit of future travelers and the...
