Not good!!!! Unfortunately the hotel has alot of issues including bad management, our unpleasant experience started before we even arrived. This wasn't unique to us as other guest we spoke to had similar problems, and it's also know in the area for its bad management, wish we had know this earlier as we wouldn't have booked Oniro Skiathos. Pictures on website a little misleading, as the renovation doesn't extend to the rooms. Only reception area and breakfast area. Despite trying to resolve the situation via phone calls and emails they are now ignored! This is not good customer service. Pros. Panos at reception what an asset, he was super helpful and let us use shower in room on departure day, due to late flight, thank you. View and reception exceptional! Cons. List is endless, request for payment when we had already paid well in advance, we paid the inflated price and it reduced by nearly 50% just after booking, changed room 4 times was promised an upgrade as we paid top end was put in a room dark with no view, then was moved to a room where the toilet constantly filled all night, maintance came and took it apart, still didn't work, moved rooms again. We ended up by the staff quarters, where the rubish and black bags were constantly piled up it's was a noisy and busy area as staff were drilling furniture together. Rooms. Key card intermittent. Cables everywhere on wall, and TV not working, bathroom floods, no bath mat, no towels some days, no coffee cups, one glass, poor cleaning, staff entered 3 times without knocking. Staff at breakfast with little or no motivation, made you feel as if you were imposing when you asked for a coffee! Smoking at the bar during breakfast service. Never seen this before. The Greek hospitality and warmth was missing at this hotel. I hope they get their act together and resolve their issues as this place has the potential to be...
Read moreArrived at hotel and was given the wrong room as we had paid for a sea view room, and our room faced a garden and wall, there was no water pressure in the taps,we asked to be moved to a room we had paid for to be advised they were full and we could not move until the following day reception gave us one bottle of water to wash our hands with. |Moved rooms the following day which was the correct room with a stunning view however when we got back to the room in the evening there was a strong sewage smell in our room when we reported this the staff came with disinfectant which was only a temporary fix as the smell returned the following day and the staff had to block up the drain in the bathroom to stop the smell. |On Tuesday 23rd September we noticed a note on the wall saying that the hotel facilities pool, bar and restaurant could not be used by paying guests after 2pm on the 26th due to a private family wedding, bearing in mind there was no alternative bars or restaurants nearby we all had to get the curtesy bus into Skiathos town or stay in our bedrooms. When we took this up with Jet 2 even they wasn’t aware of this. When we got back to the hotel later that evening we tried to get into the hotel to get some ice to be told stay there by a member of staff you are not allowed in here they would get some ice for us. We were treaty disgustingly on this day by the hotel they definitely did not want us there.|Also if you are visiting this hotel be aware that you are not allowed to eat any of your own snacks by the pool as we were advised of this by the barman, and he would have to report us even though there are no signs up anywhere advising of this. |The location of the hotel is very remote but the views are stunning would definitely not go back to this hotel as it wasn’t a...
Read moreWhere do I start! After a very hectic year we wanted a relaxing peaceful two week holiday to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. We got that and more at Oniro. We most definitely will be coming back for our 35th.||From the moment we arrived the welcome was first class. We had booked a sea view room. The views from everywhere in the hotel are beautiful, even better than the photos. Our room had everything we needed and was kept spotless by the hard working staff.||Breakfast was varied and fresh. We ate in the bar area which had a great menu and large portion sizes. We also ate dinner in the hotel at least 7 nights of our stay and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Desserts to die for. What a chef!||The staff were so friendly, got to know us by name, always asked how our day was if we had been out. Knew our drink orders and genuinely took an interest. Maro & Nico along with the rest of your colleagues at breakfast and on reception thank you for making our holiday even more special.|Reception staff were all friendly and pleasant too, on leaving (sorry I can’t recall the receptionist name) asked how our stay was and honestly I was nearly in tears leaving. Even came out to wave us off. These little things stay with you and I honestly can’t praise or thank all the staff enough.||We hired a car for 11 days which gave us the flexibility to visit the monastery and beaches at our leisure. We would always manage to get seated around the pool when we returned in the afternoon.||The shuttle bus is a great service and runs like clockwork. |If you are looking for a relaxing holiday with spectacular views and fantastic service Oniro is the place.||See you all in 2026. Enjoy your well deserved rest and again thank...
