Superb restaurant! We were lucky enough to be staying at the Azzurro hotel so we got to eat at the Agnadi Azzurro Bar Restaurant everyday! Great for breakfast (special omelette is superb as is the traditional Greek breakfast) , lunch (good salad choice and Greek small plates selection - all made fresh to order) or evening meal (shrimp linguini , pork chops, souvlaki and many more). Some of the best food on the island - and it's all fresh, nothing frozen.
The view is stunning, superb 180 degree view over the ocean. There are many beachside restaurants etc but the Agnadi Azzurro Bar Restaurant offers a great view from above, much more of a panorama. It's a 1 minute walk from the bus stop also ( i forget which number, but easily accessible and well worth it)
All the staff are great! Pavlov and Nic are really helpful with suggestions and specials not on the menu if you ask. All wonderfully prepared on site by a great kitchen team. A small family run business who really put effort and care into everything they make, from the small things like preparing all foods fresh (a few places we ate at clearly used frozen or bought in produce) to preparing speciality lamb dishes and fish specials each day.
We spent 2 weeks on Skiathos, visited many restaurants and the food here was the best, great prices, great quality, outstanding view. Next time I'm in Skiathos even if I cant stay at the same hotel I would come back for sure!
We visited in June and stayed on site - I would expect in the busier summer months this place gets fully booked so might be worth calling in advance - but...
Read moreMy daughter and I spent a week at the Agnadi so we had the blessing of having the restaurant at our fingertips. It is family run with Pavlos as the bar/restaurant manager, Nik behind the bar/waiting on tables and his parents making the delicious home cooked Greek cuisine. The food was exceptional and always fresh. We experienced breakfast, lunch and dinner at different points of the week - all delicious. The salads were great, particularly on the very hot days. A great variety for all tastes. I am meat and dairy free though I do eat fish and found a few things I could have. The view from the restaurant is stunning and very peaceful, well worth the short steep climb! The desserts were delicious, particularly the baklava and apple pie. It can get busy from 8pm onwards on certain days so I recommend to book. Pavlos looked after us and always made sure we had a table when we we said we would be eating there that day. He was engaging, attentive, funny and always made time to chat when he was able to. There is a swallow nest in the bar which I loved and you would see them swoop down into the pool to drink which was a delight to see. There are a few on site cats too who are very friendly and highly entertaining. Host with the most for sure! Highly recommended...
Read moreWe have just returned from two weeks in the Agnadi Apartments, we ate every morning and most evenings in the Bar/Restaurant, so my review is covering everything. The apartment is everything you would expect from a typical Greek small and friendly, it is basic but it has everything you need, our room was lovely and clean, fresh towels/linens everyday except Sunday, the view from the balcony is to die for, George looks after you and takes care of any problems you have very quickly. The food in the bar restaurant is second to none, it is absolutely beautiful, try the Greek Breakfast if you like scrambled egg with a unique difference. We had most of our meals there in the evening and they were some of the best Greek meals I have ever had. Add in the stunning views that You will never tire off, the service and caring attitude of your two waiters Pavlova and Nick and you can't go wrong here. Fantastic views (worth the hill) food to die for, fantastic service, and beautifully clean rooms, all done with a smile. Loved every single minute of our of our two week stay, so 5 star rating...
