Just to be surrounded by the warm Aegean Sea on the island of Skopelos is more than you can wish for. But to be surrounded by the beautiful clean sea, the sun, in the shade of beautiful pine trees and to be in the center of attention, respect and service of the beautiful Diamantou family and staff of the hotel "Hovolo" in the small village of Neo Klima – that is a special privilege, honor and happiness.|We were fortunate enough to spend 11 unforgettable days in July 2018 in an exceptionally clean, quiet, beautiful and fully equipped apartment. Hotel "Hovolo" which can be associated with white seagull, with one wing full of beautiful green pine forests and another representing the warm and crystal clear sea, is a place where both the soul and the body can enjoy and forget about everyday noise, rush and stress.|Always present, active and imperceptible Nikos, members of his family and employees really did their best to make everything flawless. Outstanding cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness, always freshly prepared varied breakfast, with good Wi-Fi and always cordially and friendly Diamantou smiles are all things defining this place.|If you stroll leisurely, it takes 2 minutes to reach a peaceful and beautiful beach with a natural shade. But there will never be enough minutes of watching how morning sunbeams awaken Neo Klim and the sea, when at noon you look at all the colors of blue in the sea, or the fascinating and almost unreal sunsets that appear with game of the sea, the clouds, the stars and the sky.|We had a wonderful dinner at "5 Platania - Hovolo restaurant". We chose three different dishes: national cuisine, fish and restaurant recommendation. For all three meals we give them gold medals in their category and team gold for the complete team, service, kindness, quality, pleasant Greek music and charm.|God willing, we sincerely hope that the next year we will be able to repeat this year's wonderful and unforgettable summer in one of the apartments with private balcony. We were in hotel Hovolo on a part of our holiday two parents and one child for 8 nights (12.-20.8.2025). We were there with our car (transported by seajets).||Location: |The hotel is the nearest hotel to the beach in Neo Klima. To the beach is about 250-300 meters on the local asphalt road. On the way to the beach you have a fish restaurant and a coffee shop (on the border of the beach). In the centrum of the village, which is about 400 meters from the hotel are more supermarkets (the best is the nearest), bakery and some restaurants. In the Oasis restaurant you can find variety foods (not only grilled). If you are not by a car, if you want to travel on the island, you can use the busses. They connect Larissa (Glossa) and Skopelos town and stop nearby many other beaches (Kastani, Milia, etc.). The busses run often, the bus stop is near to the hotel. ||Accommodation and services: |The owner family of the hotel and the staff were very kind, accommodating and helpful. In the room were on the windows mosquito nets, which was perfect. The room is well maintained, we had a renovated room with a nice view from the terrace (to the hills). Very good and comfortable (soft, not hard) was the new mattress in the bed! The cleaning and changing of the towels was made every day. In the hotel they have their own laundry. All the towels and sheets are full cotton, always good clean. The hotel organizes trips to many places on the island.||Breakfast: |Very good breakfast, served until 10:30 (they have the fried bread wetted in egg too!). Very good coffee. Pleasant sitting on the terrace, under the vine leaves. You can sit on the terrace, even if the breakfast is done. Nobody will repel you away. ||Beach:|The beach close to hotel consist of three parts, one behind the marina is with sand, one the closest is with bigger round shaped stones and the third part is behind a ness, where you could go on rocks and water or swim there. For heavier or older people we recommend the shoes for water. On the beach are deck-chairs and sunshades (2 deck-chairs and one umbrella for 8 Eur for a day). Hovolo Apartments is great hotel/apartments for a peaceful and relaxing vacation on Skopelos Island. Nikos and his family run the place and they are always there to assist you, greet you, and make you feel welcome. They prepare delicious breakfast every morning and choices include: several types of bread, cereal, milk, juice, vegetables, cheeses, French toast, eggs, deli meats, fresh fruits, honey, coffee and/or tea, etc. ||||Hovolo hotel has a fantastic location close to the sea, Neo Klima town beach, Hovolo beach and port of Neo Klima. Housekeeping is great, apartments are cleaned daily and bedding is changed every couple of days. Our apparent was on the ground floor close to the reception and breakfast area, and internet was super-fast, likely due to the proximity of reception. Higher floor apartments have a lot of steps and better views but I heard the internet access was sketchy. ||||Neo Klima is a lovely village with nice beaches, port, a couple of shops and several excellent taverns. Each night we tried a different tavern and they were all fantastic with excellent selection of local cuisine dishes, good prices and big portions. Five Platania Hovolo Seafood Tavern is close to the Hovolo Apartments; has excellent food and live music almost every night. As a guest of Hovolo Apartments, you can get 10% discount on your bill just by showing your room key to your server. ||||Skopelos Island is beautiful with amazing beaches and villages, and friendly people. Get rent-a-car and explore the whole island. There is a bus that goes from Glossa through Neo Klima to the main town of Skplelos, which you can use to get around the island and visit many excellent beaches such as Kastani, Milia, Panormos, Stafilos & Velanio beaches. Visiting Glossa and port of Loutraki is a must so is Agios Ioannis Chapel and Perivoli beach in the North East.||||We had a fantastic holiday and great stay at Hovolo Apartments; and highly recommend them.
