Hmm, Be Careful before you Decide to Spend Time & Money at this Place ..! Because, even if this Restaurant's name is Catchy.. And from the Reviews you may also Get the Idea that you are going to visit a Cute Family Traditional Fish Restaurant with Reasonable Prices as well (Tavern..). It is Not Exactly like that though.. And even if it was like that Once Upon a Time.. They already have been Modernized, Advertising their Success with Pictures of Famous Visitors hanged all Around the Entrance Wall, as Most of the Turistic Restaurants usually Do..
Anyway.. Despite the Unexplainable Positive Reviews.. Service Does Not Look Quite Friendly neither Qualitative.. They Definitely are Not Big Funs of Smiling.. & They Definitely have Upnoser Attitude.. They really gave us the impression that They Mainly Care for the Figure at our Bill..
Food Quality though, that has a Good Rumor, it also seems to be From Good to Very Good in Our Experience as Well.. The Recipes of the Sea Food Dishes We Tasted though.. Or simply their Dishes Taste.. Was Definitely a Disappointment.. It was One of the Very Few Times We Stopped Eating from the Second Spoon.. Because even if We had the Sense of Sea Freshness, Dishes Recipes were Really Disappointing.. Not Good, in a Level that Made Us Ignore Our Hanger and Preffer to Stop Eating.. There was Nothing at Both Dishes We tasted, that was making them Desirable.. Only Disappointment, Despite the Freshness.. ( They Never Asked if we liked the Food or why we Haven't ate our Dish as well.. )
Ah! Their Menu also is a Bit Tricky if you Read it Carefully & Their Prices are Definitely Not Low, On The Contrary..
We spent Quite Enough Time at the Island also, In order to be able to Compare the Same Dishes from Other Restaurants Such in Freshness & Taste as in Prices..
And in Conclusion.. Despite the "Possible" Freshness.. It Definitely worths even Less than One Star, specially in Order to Balance the Misleading Rating.. & My Suggestion is to Avoid this Restaurant's Experience if you Do Not Want to have a Sting in your Mind & Your Pocket from this Island's Experience ..
I think is the Worst Restaurant Experience We Ever Had in Our Lives..
It is Super Strongly NOT Recommended & Super Strongly Avoidable !!!
P.S After our Visit at this restaurant, I read more Carefully the Negative Reviews.. And I want to Add Up that.. I UNDERSIGN...
Read moreThe food was good, not excellent but good. My reasons for giving only two stars is the business practice here. We left with the feeling of being squeezed for every penny. After ordering we got our drinks and starters with some bread. If starters get served with bread I don't find this uncommon and usually the bread is included in the price. Here we weren't asked if we wanted any and in the end it was charged with an extra 1€. Not much, but I find it rather dishonest. For mains we had the fried squid and a grilled fish. Both were well done but served without sides. We did not want to order any additional sides at this point. Partly because our seafood was already on the table but also out of peincuple. This way the price on the menu seems rather misleading as you would usually expect mains to come with some form of side, if only fries or potatoes. After all a bill of 44€ for wine, one starter and two main courses is not overly expensive for two people. But what we got was not what should be expected from a praised local restaurant. It's sad that a restaurant in this location feels the need to refrain to this kind of...
Read moreThe fish is fine, but I have eaten better prepared, it lacks a better sauce and the disadvantage is that it is served without any side dish. The stuffed squid was not cooked and the recipe is not good, I gave most of the portion to the cats because I couldn't eat it. Eggplant salad and fried feta with sesame and honey are very tasty and go well together. Tzatziki is good, the fried eggplant is a bit unsalty and the portion is small but ok. Katiki salad was not good. The food is generally ok (rating 3-4), but the worst thing about this restaurant is the service. If it's crowded, you can wait for food for up to 1.5 hours. And the worst experience was when they tried to charge us 30 euros more for lunch. The bill was 47 eur, and they tried to charge 77 - since we ordered 0.5 l of wine, I guess they thought we wouldn't notice that they put 55 eur for the price of the fish on the piece of paper, as if the fish was 1100 g, but in fact it was 500 g . Based on this experience, I would never recommend anyone to eat and drink at this restaurant because they will try to overcharge you. If you come here, take only food...
