Maistrali Pension — Hotel in Thassos Municipality

The room was very small although it was sold as a triple room. While it could barely contain a double bed it was sold as a triple. We had to stay there only for a day and left the room first thing in the morning. The owners asserted that the room is exactly it was advertised, 20 sq m, which was not actually. It is so small that you cannot open a big suitcase. The real measurement of the room is 2.70x3.6=9.72 sq m plus WC/shower 1.50x1.85=2.78 and the tiny kitchinette .85x1.65=1.4 which makes total of 13.9 sq m. ||||Moreover, we had to open the third bed (after that we could move by stepping on each other) and make the bed by ourselves. The room was on the second floor and could be reached by a very unconvinient staircase. I had to carry the big luggage by myself while they were watching.||||Though the room was clean and probably constructed recently so the inside was cute despite the smallness. But in our voucher it was also said mountain view, where there was no mountain but other building in front of us. It was another deception. The little house is situated on the rocks overlooking the sea and continental Greece to the west. The fishing boats take this route home at the end of the day which made it great fun for our two year old daughter. The place is very tastefully decorated, the terrace great for sitting down with a drink at the end of the day. The rooms may be a bit on the small side but are very pretty and amazingly clean. Our only complaint was an uncomfortable mattress, however the view and service more than made up for that. The owner we met with, Elle was friendly, polite and extremely kind and helpful. She also spoke very good English. The house is a 2 minute walk from all the shops and restaurants in the village and a 2 minute walk from what is arguably the best beach on Thassos.
