Bar Restaurant PORTOGATOS — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

I ordered tomahawk steak medium rare, they brought pork steak and tried to explain me that this is pork medium rare (It was DRY well done) and i didnt even order pork steak. After they apologized and told me that they dont have tomahawk steak and offered meal for free, i refused of course it was burnt. We took chicken schnizel too and it was not eatable, like eating fried vegetable oil 10 years old. Food is 0000/10! Drinks we took "homemade" lemonade which was like 1kg sugar and syrup of lemonade. 5.5e and not even drinkable!

PRICES are crazy tbh, i think this is the most expensive restaurant in Thasos. 18.5e for burnt pork steak, really funny.

Service is fine, they apologized 10 times and didnt charge 18.5e "STEAK". Offered free dessert too. Restaurant was empty 1h while we were there and i totally undestand why. Only view is really amazing but not worth at all.

Restaurant is next to entrance to Atspas Beach, has very nice terace and amazing view. Staff is extremely kind (5 stars) and service is fast. Prices are regular for Thassos. Food is standard/decent quality but couple of dishes are very good and I would recommend: ceasars salad is AMAZING (better than in many restaurants in mainland), Greek salad is also big and tasty, burger is decent and chicken nuggets are great and in big portion. When we visited in July with every meal ordered we got desert for free. Nice way of showing appreciation. They also have breakfast in offer but we haven't tried. Porto Gatos also has accomodation for those interested. In that case you get special deal for sunbeds and umbrellas at the Atspas Beach since Beach bar is owned by Porto Gatos as well. If you visit Atspas Beach or you are staying in Skala Marion definitely it's good choice for...

The food was good, portions are enough, and very tasty. If you eant anything in particular just ask and maybe you will get served if they have the request on stock. If not available, they will not serve which i find very professional. Really nice view, the restaurant is just neat the Atspas beach, so if you want to come, this can be tour full day location. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, with chill music (when i was there was international lounge music). They speak english, which is easy to comunicate....
