The pinnacle of Greek hospitality!
KoNaKaRi is situated just a few blocks behind the main street, at the border of the town, so it is quite tranquil and relaxed. The beaches are easy to reach, the beach closest by is only about 200 meters. We stayed in room ‘Villa Bianca’ which was situated on the ground floor, facing the garden. (Other rooms may face outside onto the surrounding streets on ground or first floor) We had a cosy covered outside seating area which had two antique old chairs and a table provided. The room itself is quite spacious, has 4 sleeping options (we only used two) a small dining area and a kitchenette with the usual things needed to make a cup of coffee, cook your own pasta or to keep things cool or frozen in de refrigerator. The separate bathroom is clean and also quite spacious, with toilet, shower, cabinets and sink. The room can be cooled with airconditioning (mind to empty the bottle outside frequently in which the condensed water drops)
The owners are the best in Greek hospitality. Especially Kostas (who also lives within the complex) who van give perfect advice on what to do in the surrounding area, but also hops by if you are sitting outside, for a little chat. In the garden they have a barbecue as well, so that is used quite frequently on various occasions. And besides the barbecue, they spoiled us with all kinds of deliciousness. KoNaKaRi is truly a happy place which we can only recommend to the fullest!
And many thanks again to Kostas and Nana and...
Read moreAmazing place that you won’t forget and will wait to visit again. We stayed there 4 nights with our 3 kids. Hospitality is at a level which is rare to find. I felt like I met a friend that I know for years. When you stay in the shades of the quiet garden you just wander do you want to go to the beach or you just want to relax there. Location is one of a time - as close as it can be to the beach, restaurants, cafés, bakeries - so that at the same time you stay away from any noice. If you are with a car, you park it and forget about it. All rooms are nice and clean, different from each other in the good meaning, with their own name and history itself. Food lovers can pick local fresh groceries from the nearby farmers market (every Thursday) and enjoy the BBQ in the garden in a way they prefer it at home. When you decide to visit this region of Greece, KoNaKaRi Garden is a great place to stay. If you are looking for something negative about the place it can be only your personal bad mood, which don’t let you to feel...
Read moreThis place absolutely exceeded our expectations! The owners are incredibly friendly, always open for a chat and happy to share tips on what to see and where to eat. Every now and then they organize BBQ evenings with all the guests, which creates such a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
The apartments themselves are beautifully arranged and well equipped, with a lot of attention to detail. I especially loved the use of natural materials and wooden elements that give the place a warm and aesthetic touch.
The location is perfect – less than 5 minutes on foot to the sea, 10–20 minutes by car to some truly exotic beaches, and under 5 minutes’ walk to the town center. At the same time, it’s tucked away just enough so you can enjoy complete peace and quiet at night.
Parking is also not an issue, as you can easily park on the street right in front of the apartment.
All in all, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Highly...
