The worst experience! Kipi was supposed to be a great experience for me, my husband and my friends . We have never been told that there are so many steps until you reach the hotel. When we mentioned this to the staff and asked them how we can bring our suitcases upstairs, they seemed like they do not care too much and their answer was :” you can carry them by hand “ . The ironic answer was followed by a sarcastic laugh ! The owner had an ATV parked next to the building . We asked the receptionist if it’s possible to bring our luggage upstairs with the atv and he said that he will speak with the owner about it. We never had an answer …. When we arrived we could not find where is the entrance …. It’s probably very expensive for them to buy a sign with “welcome” or” entrance “ The réception was empty: no staff so we had to look for someone who can give us a key to finally get in the room. We found the receptionist downstairs in the restaurant area.. enjoying his cofee with some friends . After the sarcastic conversation about the luggage, he took us to our rooms… In front of our rooms.. there were cleaning products, toilet paper and some other things that can be seen in the attached photos . The rooms were ok … the heating was working very good. We had no hairdryer, no coffee machine ( we had nespresso capsules but no coffee machine 😂), the towels were very very small and very low quality, dirty windows, lot of dust, only two pillow out of 4( our friends had 4 pillows- we had only 2). We have asked and paid for double bedroom, but we were given 2joined single beds. Initially, we booked 2 nights but we decided on the first night that we will cancel the second day as we would prefer to leave to a different place. We informed one of the owner about our complains and that we would cancel the second day. She was not too bothered by this. Her answer was” did you pay for the first night ? If you paid, then ok. Bye and she left “ The lady was totally unprofessional and very disrespectful. We have paid a lot of money for nothing…. Nothing ! Nothing !
The breakfast was awful. All their products were from LIDl. We came at 8:30 am to serve breakfast and we found 2 men fighting in the kitchen. The breakfast was not ready so we had to wait for the two men to prepare the food. We finally had breakfast at around 9:30 am. We could not wait for the second day to take out luggage and leave ! Awful experience. Very expensive . Owners and staff who do not care at all about the business. We never tried the restaurant but we have been told by some people who tried it that it is terrible .
The only lovely person from the entire place was the cleaner who was very sweet and friendly. I really hope for her that she finds a better workplace . I think she works very much and she does not have a lot of help ! There are many things to be told, but I think it’s time to end it here … All I can say is Shame on you...
Read moreThe rooms were very nice and the village was beautiful. Easy access to lovely hiking trails. The service, however, was poor for a couple reasons. We initially booked a stay at the Rodia Boutique Hotel for May 2023 and unfortunately they were still undergoing renovations when we arrived so they transferred our booking for the same price to the Kipi Mountain Resort. We had paid in full through the booking for Rodia, which included extra money for a transfer from the Ioannina airport. The transfer was done by someone from Rodia. It was not made clear at the time that Rodia and the Mountain Resort are under the same owners, so I paid the person from Rodia in cash for the transfer thinking I would not see them again. Upon checkout from the Mountain Resort (and only because I asked for it), I was informed that the money for the transfer had been refunded. It still has not been refunded months later, even though the proprietor has acknowledged in subsequent messages that they do owe me the money for the transfer. Communication has been inconsistent and the issue remains unresolved. Additionally, there was a mixup during dinner at the Mountain Resort which resulted in us waiting for 90 minutes for a dish we ordered but that had never been made. Instead of checking in with us at any point during those 90 minutes, we were just left alone to wonder when this dish was coming. It is not a big deal in isolation and I feel that it was a simple mistake, but has unfortunately reflected the poor communication during the whole engagement. I do not take pleasure in posting a negative public review but unfortunately it has been many months since this occurred and the issue...
Read moreHidden gem. Beautiful middleaged-style building at different levels ( yes you practice going up and down the stairs) but this gives a beautiful view over the mountains in a very quiet village. Friendly family owned hotel. Refreshing pool ( not huge but great as refreshement). In the village is also a small greek tavern and mini market, you feel like living there. Many beautiful short walks along old bridges ( nearby) , all well indicated. Kipi is not far from other zahori vilages. 15 minutes to Vista ( go to the square) and Tsepelovo ( go to the square). 40 minutes from the start of the vikos gorge walk. If you need peace and quiet, this is your place. One tip for the owner: more hooks in bathroom or bedroom to hangup sweaty clothes … we certainly do not agree with previous bad reviews by others. This is a Zahori village, a remote area, no fresh supermarkets nearby, so we find it quite challenging for the owner and his staff ( maybe shy) to maintain this beautiful hotel with nice greek breakfast ( don’t expect fresh fruit) but toast, eggs, cake, marmelade, fruitjuice, cake, cheese, ham were...
