I very rarely give such a low score on an establishment but in this case I felt I had to. After a nice trail we thought we should get something to drink and being that this place is the only one there the choice was obvious. However from the moment we walked in we felt unwelcome! The owner never smiled, he looked like he was annoyed at our very presence there! It didn’t matter how many please and thank you we said to soften him up it didn’t work- the servers weren’t any better, very likely related. Read moreThis delightful tavern is located in a picturesque mountain village surrounded by several stone bridges, which were built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The varied menu is available in 6 languages. In addition to traditional dishes, it includes Epirus pies, various soups and meat dishes, even wild boar, venison and roe deer from the oven. We asked for a roe deer and a lamb from the oven, which were excellent. A wonderful fireplace warms you up during the cold season. The atmosphere is homely.

We had vegetable soup, moussaka, veal steak as well as the 1kg portion of lamb chops - all of them were well seasoned with good balance of taste and cooked really well.
In particular, the vegetable soup was worth mentioning due to its simplicity but richness in flavour. Alongside that, the 1kg of lamb chops was cooked to perfect making it easy to finish up an entire kg with ease.
