Bozikis Palace — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

Too dirty, too loud and too disappointing for the price point. We felt scammed.

We were very close to a super market and the pool bar had very cheap drinks, especially compared to the Laganas prices. Also, the personnel working at the pool bar was friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was decent for what it was and in line with what we were expecting. The breakfast, which is the same every day consists of: Drinks: Orange Juice Water Various types of coffee Tea bags Food: Various types of bread Sour cream Hard sliced cheese Sliced ham Butter Peach marmalade Honey Chocolate cream Tiny hot dogs Fried ham Omelet with chopped hotdogs, sliced into squares The food is brought from outside the premises, but it was still fresh enough.

Now... The pictures of the rooms were taken when the hotel opened where the view is favorable; the second floor rooms overlooking the sea. We were placed in a room on the ground floor, balcony in front of the pool so - no privacy. People can look into the room and the parking was right in front of the balcony. This meant people yelling and parking at all times (regular commotion around 4:00 or 5:00 am). We requested a room change and were informed that in 2 days it would be possible but, at a room overlooking the road. We decided that the change wouldn't be much better compared to where we were staying. After touring the property, I realized that other rooms are located in the basement with a balcony, so we were luckier than those people. The first impression of the room was that it wasn't aired out for a year. It had that very familiar old people apartment smell, musky and heavy. Black hair was in a lot of places and heavy dust was covering the small lamps over the beds. The bathroom is tiny with only two shampoo toiletries and one hand soap bar for a week. The toilet has a strange button you need to try hard and press. Shower handle broke off on the fifth day and the owner helped by giving us a replacement. Like mentioned earlier, the location of the room was an issue. The hotel is up on a hill, on the road, and it takes you at least 15 minutes of walking next to speeding cars to reach the nearest beach that is not full of parked boats. The staff doesn't care. They really don't. I've seen some reviews about the rudeness of the staff, but it was just them knowing we will leave soon and not giving us the time of day. I spoke to the owner a few times and managed to get some information, and they did help us print out our boarding passes. The shower handle purchase was also helpful, so there's that. P.S. The owner was stopping a fight on our last day...

Everything perfect and in fact really 3 stars conditions||We stayed for one week at Bozikis Palace (31 August - 7 September 2019), me and my daughter, and we are both really pleased to say that we felt like princesses.|1. Location of the hotel: Is situated near the beach (3 minutes walking). The car road ends at beach point, so is not that noisy the area around the hotel.|2. Conditions in hotel: All perfect. The room and all hotel space is very clean. They are cleaning the room daily and changing the towels every day from Monday to Friday. |Breakfast is enough diversificated to cover all tastes, the food is fresh.|3. Hotel staff: Emilia from reception deservs a special award. She is simply wonderful! She really exceeded all expectations. Thank you for your kind attitude, Emilia!|Margarita from pool bar is the definition of joy. She is the perfect person in the perfect place|Dionisis from reception is also a special character.|4. Beach: Is more than generous as space. There are chase longs enough for all sea lovers. Chase longs belong to bars that are located on the beach, if you take one, the condition is to buy at least one drink from them.|5. Pool: Very clean and enough space for all hotel guests. The bar serves all that is neccessary for a pool stay.|6. Restaurants and bars: There are some nice places located right on the beach, so 3 minutes walking from hotel. You can eat or just take a drink from the bar.|I recommend "Harbour House" - delicios food, lots of Greek specialties, the view is directly to Paradise.|7. Access to commercial area of the island: The access may be done eighter by walking on the beach, like you must cross directly through water for about 6 meters and then on sand, or through the car road. On the beach is shorter, 15 minutes time from hotel to the commercial center of Zante town.|8. Supermarket&ATM: There are both near the hotel, right at the entrance of the hotel.|I strongly recommend Bozikis Palace, for sure we will choose this hotel if we will come visit...
