Of all the things the island has to offer, a miniature zoo was not something I expected, yet gladly embraced. The place is fantastic, the animals are a pure joy, well fed, well taken care-of, super curious and friendly. This and to mention the farm is in the middle of an olive tree plantation which make the surroundings all-the-more surreal. Just as you enter, a huge flock of hens, roosters, ducks, geese and goats storm you. The entrance btw is 6 euro and the neat part is you can feed the animals. corn grains, some carrots, lettuce and some ollive branches will hold you back a measle 2euro. A bargain, if you ask me but beware! once the animals figure out you have food in your hands, you are an instant magnet! :) I held olive branches and cute little goats kept following me for the leaves. They may seem like attention seekers but NO! They are emotional swindlers, they want the olive leaves at all costs :) My friends, they held cups with grains, and instantly became chick magnets. All-in-all it was a pleasant experience, i would definitely go again, I'd buy the animals more food, the owner is super friendly, you can serve there a drink and have something to eat and there's also playground for children. I'm not sure how well known this place is on the island, it seemed like not many know of it, but I'd classify it as a local gem. ps. THEY HAVE TURTLES. Some 23 years old, other just 1 and are the smallest, cutest most dear creatures I've seen in...
Read moreWe spent a really lovely afternoon at The Little Farm in Laganas, Zakynthos. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from the owners and staff made us feel right at home.
The setting is beautiful — tucked into olive groves on a hill, with a peaceful view over Laganas. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for escaping the busy beaches for a while. Entry was fair (about €7 per person), and for a small extra cost you can buy food to feed the animals.
There’s a nice variety of animals: goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks, chickens, even a friendly donkey and some turtles. The animals seemed well cared for, healthy, and many are happy to interact — feeding, petting, etc.
Kids will love the extra touches: swings, craft-corners, places to just sit and enjoy the view. Plus drinks and ice creams are available, so you can relax.
Overall: such a wholesome, feel-good experience. It’s not a huge zoo, so you won’t spend an entire day there, but it’s absolutely worth setting aside 1-2 hours. For both kids and adults, it’s charming, gentle, and heartwarming. Highly recommended if you want something peaceful, cute, and away from the crowded...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting the Little Farm in Zakynthos today, and I can confidently say that it was an experience I will cherish forever. From the moment I stepped foot on the farm, I was enchanted by the tranquil atmosphere and the genuine warmth of the owner.
What makes the Little Farm truly exceptional is the freedom the animals enjoy. As I walked through the farm, I couldn't help but notice how content and joyous the animals appeared. Seeing them roam freely, without any signs of confinement, was truly a sight to behold. One of the highlights of my visit was being able to interact with the animals firsthand. The farm provides the opportunity to feed the animals, creating a bond between humans and the gentle creatures that inhabit the farm.
The Little Farm is undoubtedly a hidden gem in Zakynthos, and I must say that every penny spent here was worth it.
If I had more time on my hands, I would visit the Little Farm without a second thought. It's the kind of place that beckons you to return and experience its magic time and time again. I wholeheartedly recommend this farm to anyone seeking a unique and...
