We have just arrived home after our 1 weeks stay here. I would say there are good things about the hotel, but some improvements needed on some things. |On arrival we were greeted and given all the hotel info, including WiFi code. The room was lovely and spacious, spotlessly clean. All rooms pretty much have a pool view. We were told only drinks and snacks purchased from the hotel were allowed poolside, there are No bar snacks! Except crisps, and those had sold out. You need to be aware that apart from breakfast , there is no other food served, no bar snacks hot or cold! The hotel is situated up the hill, which is fine if you have good mobility and was not a problem for us at all. But there is only one restaurant on the walk down to the main strip, and one older couple could only just manage to walk there each day for their evening meal, so not ideal if mobility is an issue ||The breakfast is ok, not the best in my opinion. The cooked option was warm at best, but then the kitchen is in the other block to where breakfast is served! You also clear your own table, and not enough seating for the capacity of guests, unless you don’t mind sharing a table. Very cramped if more than 8 people are in the area. ||The hotel bar is in the reception area, and has about 5 bar stools, but staff will get more chairs for more guests when needed. ||Sun beds are limited, not enough if hotel is at full capacity, 18 in total to the 32 adults. Hotel was pretty much full whilst we were there. ||I reported on our first day that the plug socket , for the mini drinks fridge was hanging out of the wall and wires exposed. Nothing was done, and still like it on our departure. ||We used Skyfall on the main strip as our base in the day, free sun beds, right on the beach and a private pool. The bar menu was excellent, as was the food and service. So reasonable in price. We had a cooked English one morning, which was excellent value and hot. There is an excellent bakery on the junction, as you turn up the hill towards the hotel that has a massive selection and lovely hot coffees. ||We had a lovely time, the hotel was clean and all the staff are lovely and friendly, but I’ve stayed in 2* hotels that offer more. But if you are just wanting a quiet hotel for a good nights sleep and happy to explore and you have no mobility issues, then it’s a good little hotel. ||Beer academy sports bar was great for drinks, as was mind the gap, lots of good places to eat, Charlie Chaplin was nice food. There’s a restaurant further up the hill called Target, panoramic views and great menu. Free taxi service from the...
Read moreFirstly a nicely located hotel with a very small boutique style set up. Staff are friendly and helpful with recommendations and places to visit. ||Positives: rooms are of a good size and the beds are comfortable with nice toiletries that are topped up about 3 times during our 9 night stay. Housekeeping is good and is efficient with services. ||Sunloungers are nice but we are explorers so the ammount for the hotel didn’t bother us too much and when we wished to get one there were no shortages during our stay as we were here towards the end of the season. People did reserve them but that didn’t bother us. ||Location is central to the main town of argassi and all of the restaurants bars and things to do. Highlights for food would be zinc, mirtri dani and the sky fall bar is good for a lounge around the resort after a long days walking or exploring. ||The bakery Mylonas is a must and is excellent value and has excellent coffee. ||Mount skopos has some stunning views which were easily walkable about 5km from the hotel but you need trainers to do this but highly recommend for the walking type. ||Negatives: ||Towels need to be better as they are some of the worst I have personally used in any Greek island hotel of the same or higher class. ||Breakfast after the 1st October was not topped up after 9am which when the hotel was still full we found a little bit frustrating but the selection was good for the set up they have.||Overall a nice hotel and would recommend if you want to relax or explore zante as it is in a very good location to see a lot of the island either by walking or cycling. ||The hill is not the steepest and is a controlled ascent and descent as some of the other reviews have mentioned it is very hilly which is generally not the case in comparison to other Greek or southern parts of Italy. ||Thanks for...
