Merlis Studios — Hotel in Zakynthos Municipality

We enjoyed our stay at Merlis, we had a double room located on the villas with a total of six rooms.The room itself was clean and big with all amenities including a small kitchen, big balcony, very nice view to the hills and the interior garden, the furniture looks very good except for the closet which had a bit of an obsolete paint. Bathroom was also big and paint was applied over the faiance.The location is close to the beach, to the taverns/restaurants/mini markets, owners are very nice and helpful, we also had a lovely time on the Antoni's pool bar special nights with live music.Only thing I would choose to change fo our next stay there, would be to request a room without a door common to the next room, as I suppose it was initially an apartment, so be mindful to mention that if you wish to book a room, there, other rooms do not have that common door.Special advice, do not forget that you are on an island and that water is scarce, so you need to buy water for drinking and avoid spilling it if possible, also avoid using too much plastic thus generate...

We spent in Merlis Studios 3 weeks in June / July 2023 and really loved it! Clean, private and very nicely situated studios!

Whole Kalamaki village is very calm with a beautiful beach with sunbeds or very private at the end of it.

Right next to the studios is a supermarket where you can find almost everything you need. Plenty of restaurants are also few meters from the accomodation.

We also spent great time in Antonis pool bar where you can have drinks and enjoy the pool with sunbeds for free... They have also some entertainment every night...

So I think great location, reasonable price and great service - every day room cleaning and the owner is very very nice. He helped us with a cheap car rent, taxis and everything we needed! He has also nice store with local fashion and products right next to the studios.

I would definitely come back again! Loved our holiday here!

I stayed at Merlis Studio in Zakynthos for one week. The rooms were clean, and the bed linen and towels are changed once a week. The swimming pool, which guests have access to, was clean and well maintained. The garden is beautiful and very well taken care of, creating a relaxing atmosphere around the property.

The owners are very kind and welcoming, which added positively to the overall experience.

There is some noise in the evenings coming from the hotel behind, which might be disturbing if you’re looking for quiet nights. Also, the mattresses were quite uncomfortable – for someone with back problems, this could be a serious issue.

Air conditioning is available for an extra €9 per day, and a safe can be rented for €10 per week.
