Beautiful establishment with incredibly friendly staff and management/owners who are always there to lend a helping hand. They offer sufficient parking for 4 full sized cars (plus some extra room for a couple more motorcycles if needed- and it seemed the parking is rarely fully occupied) in a secure, gated driveway which is partially covered. The owner even took the liberty of covering my motorcycle with a plastic cover when I was fast asleep and the weather looked like rain (very nice of him to do- and he let me take the cover he made for me)! There is always someone there ready and willing to help you with luggage or whatever your need may be, and English is spoken by most all of the staff (the management/owner lived in the US and speaks perfect English- and was extremely friendly and attentive). Housekeeping is thorough and regular. I stated in the Deluxe King suite and was happy to have a massive, luxurious full jacuzzi bath in my room (plus a double vanity and a seperate shower as well). The room also came with my own, massive walk in closet. The bed was extremely comfortable and a huge oversized king size. They also have soft sheets and warm blankets and a very well working climate control system per room. Breakfast, made fresh, is available (and can be pre-ordered the night before so it is ready when you wake up) for a great price and was delicious and plentiful. The front desk is open 24 hours and sells a variety of snacks and soft drinks. There was very good WiFi and my room even had an ethernet hookup. The connection speeds were very decent- especially for this part of the world, where 10mbps download speeds are considered fast. The location is very conveniently located near to local attractions but away from the traffic of the downtown areas, and in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. Note that the hotel can be difficult to spot, as it boasts an inconspicuous sign and blends in with the residential houses on the street. Attention to detail was clearly a priority, and the entire property is beautifully set. The cost of a room for the night is also EXTREMELY competitive (great value)! In summary, highly...
Read moreI stayed here twice last month: three nights each time. Karla at the front desk is one of the best hotel staff you'll ever encounter. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel now has the Biscotti Café on the premises and the lady that runs it serves great cappuccinos and pour-over coffees. The beds are the most comfortable ones I slept on during the three weeks that I was in Guatemala. The small walk-in closet is one of the best amenities of any hotel...
