Villas Santander - Deluxe Stay — Hotel in Guatemala City

This place is over priced for what it is. The wardrobe had no rails or anything to hang clothes. No bath mat. The shower flooded and no pressure on shower. The towels left a lot of fluff on body. There’s a strong smell in the room. The lighting is very dim. The tv control did not work.Staff are unfriendly the restaurant (waiter wanted a tip even though he wasn’t attending the restaurant, had to wait ages to request stuff) and reception, they weren’t helpful and acted like they didn’t care and I was bothering them. The night guard is racist and didn’t want to help or answer my questions even when using google translator to communicate.I felt uncomfortable here and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. There are nicer places that I’ve stayed here in Guatemala City but this place let me down for the reasons above. Another to note is I did not get the room I booked...

Terrible experiencia, no lo recomiendo PARA NADA. Viajé sola por trabajo y sólo me quedé dos noches, me intoxiqué con la comida del hotel (3 banderas) en la primera noche. Me deshidraté durante la noche y nadie me contestó por whatsapp, tampoco había nadie en recepción. No pude trabajar. No tienen enfermería y tampoco un botiquín que sirva para esos casos, no llamaron médico, ni se interesaron en dar ningún tipo de atención, ni siquiera una disculpa. Después de hablar con 3 personas diferentes, me llevaron suero, probióticos y agua con limón. Me dijeron que el restaurante y el hotel eran diferentes, y el uno me decía que hablara con el otro hasta que alguno se responsabilizó. La habitación súper oscura, no pasaron a hacer aseo en ningún momento, se escucha todo el ruido de otras habitaciones y pasillos, el baño estaba mal lavado, con humedad y sin ventilación, las fundas de las almohadas con rotos, y la atención al cliente fue simplemente espantosa. Pagué la estancia con desayuno (que obviamente al otro día no pude consumir), no me ofrecieron ninguna alternativa para poder comer algo suave, y el último día me dijeron que no me servían el desayuno "para que no me pasara lo mismo". Terrible experience! The management at this hotel is completely unprofessional and unresponsive. The staff is rude and unhelpful, and it felt like they didn’t care about their guests at all. My room was dirty upon arrival, and despite multiple complaints, nothing was done to fix it. And it’s been a nightmare trying to get a refund.
