Guacamaya Inn Hotel — Hotel in San Pedro Sula

I needed a place to stay one night because I was coming by bus to SPS en route to Copan the next day. I had a 13 hr adventure on Tica bus, but Roberto was waiting there for me upon my arrival, new shuttle and all. The inn is gorgeous and it's the perfect place to stay. I had my first hot water shower in 11 days and felt rejuvenated. There's a new mall across the street to grab some food if you are hungry. Breakfast was included, however I only had some granola and fruit. I booked a second night there, a few nights later, because I was in route to Roatan. Roberto was once again waiting for me at the Hedman Alas terminal. I spent another peaceful night at the inn, after being out in Copan for a few days. Great little inn! We ended up with an unexpected overnight on our way to Roatan. The owner made things easy by picking us up at the airport and returning us for $20 each way. This eliminated the discomfort of dealing with the taxi drivers soliciting us at the airport and of figuring out transportation back the next morning. Plus, he brought us to a place to grab a bite to eat on both trips and took us to the pharmacy so that my wife could grab a few necessities. His hotel is nice, safe, and reasonably priced $60/night. We have stayed here twice and loved it both times. Family owned, clean, comfortable bed & pillows and everyone is no nice and helpful. AC works great too which is nice as we just left Boston so the weather takes times to transition too. The owner Roberto speaks perfect English and picked us up in a beautiful new van from the airport for a fee. He is fun to drive with as he tells us about the city etc. Right across from Hotel Copantl so we walked across and had dinner at their steakhouse, yes their steaks are US steakhouse prices but very good.
