Pension Olympos — Hotel in Budakeszi járás

Pros:||The location of the pension is ok if you make a short stop on your way home.||The room was clean.||||Cons:||- the owner of the pension is reluctant, not helpful and the notion of "customer service" is totally unknown to her. We had to pay for 2 nights although we stayed there only 1 night. She constantly refused to change our booking although she received the feedback from Booking.com that the reservation can be changed for no extra cost. ||- The owner's English is very poor. On the day of our arrival at the hotel there was only a lady who did not speak English at all. ||- In the bathroom there was an unpleasant smell coming from the drain.||- We could not sleep during the night due to the powerful noise made by the rain falling on the sheetmetal still.||- the Wii-Fi did not work (we tried to connect to the Wii-Fi using 3 different phones). The feedback received from the owner was "You are the problem".||||I will most definitely not recommend this...

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE! we booked a room via booking.com and paid in advance. on the day of arrival, an hour and a half after the check-in time has already started and while we were waiting on the hungarian border, they call me to ask if I have a vaccination certificate and after I said I did not, they told me repeatedly to cancel my room (if I cancelled, I would receive no refund). I asked where it was written that we need to have a vaccination certificate and they only responded with "we have our own rules". so, we were stuck at the border, having paid for a room and being told me we cannot stay there. luckily, booking.com have excellent customer support and were able to cancel the booking free of charge for me, and they even found us an alternative room to stay in budapest that was cheaper...

The WORST hotel I have ever been. While cleaning the room they will take your personal items without telling you. Accidentally, we found our iron in one of the storage of the hotel. THAT IS A THEFT. They said that the hotel is not responsible if something is lost in the hotel and the iron can cause a fire so that is why they took it. Stay away from these shameless thiefs. I would give a zero stars but because the hotel is clean they can have one...
