I stayed here from 1-6 July in 2 rooms one with a bathroom for 2 nights then in another with the bathroom down the corridor. Being a seasoned traveller to Budapest I had no problems finding the hotel but if anyone who comes to Budapest isn't good with directions they will struggle to find the hotel. The rooms were basic and clean but the shelves in the bathroom had rust on them which doesn't give a good impression to anybody even in a cheap hotel. Also a proper bathmat would be welcome in the room rather than having to use one of the towels as they get soaked after time but what really let this hotel down is the shambolic management as the reception is not manned 24 hours and if you arrive be prepared to wait for someone to open the gate when we were there one day we had to wait to come in as we were changing to a different room and didn't have the new room key so we had to take a walk round the local area during peak summer 30 Celsius sun very strong not at all pleasant. ||Conclusion- The Jade Panzio is a cheap hotel that is in an excellent location for the airport or the city centre but could be so much better if the management improved like 24 hour reception for starters then it could be...
Read moreWe booked one night at Jade at short notice. It is located on Metro number three, which runs until about 11 p.m. You'll find the metro station within the shopping centre after a short walk. ||||Jade has the feel of a hostel, but a very pleasant and well-kept one at that. Our room was perfectly alright and we slept well on the sofa beds, after we'd made a double out of a twin room. Curiously enough there was a bible in the room - I didn't know this was still done.||||The shared bathrooms were kept clean, and we didn't really mind that there wasn't that much space and the metal shelves had become rusty. The internet worked fine in the lovely yard but not in our room. ||||We could leave our car behind very secure gates for free. The receptionist or owner was easy-going and friendly. ||||The bottom line is that we'd stay here again. The price is very fair for...
Read moreIt is a quite nice hostel considering the price. There is even 5 GHz wifi which surprised me. Also, despite the reader needing a few attempts usually, the QR code system still made it very easy to come in at any time.
The showers and toilets were quite nice and very clean. Towels were included with our room.
Rooms were quite okay for the price too, included enough power outlets (and a bible...), the tv didn't work but doesn't matter. The only downside was the beds were a bit uncomfortable/hard which made sleeping in them a bit more difficult then normal, but for the price it was all fine (and again, they were clean, and didn't creak or break or anything. Probably just cheap, but in a decent state).
I would recommend this place if you want a cheap no frills place to stay together with someone and have...
