Our paddling team was in Hungary for races in Szeged. Alex (the owner) and his staff worked hard to ensure our team had a good experience in the hotel. The staff helped us figure out transportation schedules and we each had a basic admission to the spa across the street. Read moreWe attended the International Dragon Boat Festival in Szeged, Hungary this July 2018. Our team was fortunate enough to be booked/assigned to Hotel Bastya,Mako, because even though it takes almost 30 minutes to travel via shuttle bus from our hotel to the race venue it was well worth it. The hotel had a wonderful staff who would go out of their way to help in any way they can. On several occasions we needed to have an early breakfast for our races and they gladly accommodated. There was a tiny lift to carry baggage to the second floor where all the rooms, as well as, the dining areas were located. Rooms were simple, but adequately sized with all the basic amenities such as, air conditioning, a television, a refrigerator and even a closet. Bathroom we had was more than adequate for two people with a shower stall, bidet and hairdryer.|An added bonus to our stay was the easy access to the Hagymaticum Spa which was a good 3...
