Gesztenye Apartman — Hotel in Makói járás

Location is amazing, 1 block away from the Hagymatikum Spa. Hosts are great, we met upon arrival, received keys, spa discount cards for residents of Gesztenye Apartman, and got quick information about all that interested us. Apartment was nice and spacious, very clean and with all the neccessities (hairdryer, microwave, oven, kettle, fridge, AC....). Backyard is great with a lot of open space and barbecue, as well as covered tables with chairs for rainy days. They also offer bycicles that can be used to move arround Mako, and there is more than enough parking spaces in the street (free parking). Beds were super comfortable! Everything about Gesztenye Apartman exceeded our expectations.

Disliked · Language barrier was present (hosts don't know much English, and we don't know any Hungarian), but we overcame it by using google translate on phones so this is not a negative thing, just a bump that was resolved...

We were delayed at the border for a few hours, and the owner sent us a message that she will not receive us by 11p.m. (we had reservation, and the limit hour for check-in was not mentioned). She turned off all her three phones, and let us arrive in Mako with no place to sleep over night! You never do that to a tourist! These people should not be allowed to run such facilities. Fortunately, we found a hotel, but the unpleasant memory about this...

Most nem ajánlom senkinek ezt a helyet. Eltitkolják hogy a helyen most építkezés folyik, érkezéskor szembesülünk. Az építkezés az ott töltött időnk alatt is folyt, a megbeszélt 10 órás kezdés helyett már 9 órától. Az értékeket nem ajánlom a szálláson hagyni, mivel felhívhatnak, hogy 10 perc múlva ők bemennek a szállásra a munkásokkal lekapcsolni a gázt, az engedélyünk nélkül! Végül az utolsó éjszakánk előtt, MIUTÁN kifizettük a szállást, szólnak, hogy másnap reggel 6 órára jönnek a kőművesek bontani.. másnap a munkások kértek tőlünk elnézést, hogy ők nem tudták, hogy mi még itt vagyunk és akkor nem...
