Crown Hotel — Hotel in Siófoki járás

We stayed 3 nights in the quadruple room, as it had balconies. The triple room would have been in the attic with no balcony so we chose the quad room. The room was big enough, 2 bedrooms although the bathroom is a squeeze.. The beds were creaky but comfortable. Had air conditioning so that was good. The rooms are covered in a dark brown carpet, which makes it look dirty. The carpet probably was dirty as there were dead mosquitos on the walls. Clean wood floors would have been nicer to look at. There were small things like a hole in the wall, the paint on the balcony was rotting, carpet on balcony manky etc. Really need some tlc and get rid of carpets. Had a fridge on the floor(looked bad) but no kettle. I asked for a kettle and cups, (us Irish love our tea) and was given one, which was nice of them.||Had breakfast, which was constantly refreshed, but only continental really, only bread cheeses, salads etc, Did have scrambled eggs but not the best and boiled sausages?? Could have done with bit of fruit salad and maybe croissants. Good sized mug for the tea though. Didn't eat there any other time as the bar was dead, (again think a bit too far for my liking) and when I say far it is not really it is just that that side of siofok is only houses, apts or a few hotels so who is going to walk that way??||There are 8 lie down sun beds only. That is not enough for a hotel with a lot of rooms. the pool was clean though but sitting on metal chairs is not ideal or comfortable.||Says wifi, but jesus it was bad.. It says in public areas I know, but was trying to book a bus and couldn't get internet. Asked at reception to be told, there a lot of people downloading movies etc so it will be slow?? Not good enough really, get another router or whatever is needed.||It is in my opinion on the wrong side of Siofok. It is a good 20-25 walk along an endless road with nothing but houses, whichever way you go. ||All in all the hotel needs a good clean and upgrade to 21st century.||I would like to go back to Siofok but would stay near the centre or Petofi promenade (at least a 20 minute walk passing bars and life...

Le Korona est un hôtel familial au look (très) rétro et à l'ambiance globalement très sympathique. Il a ses plus et ses moins. Ses grandes qualités: beaucoup de convivialité, l'anticipation un peu partout dans les parties communes du besoin des familles. Pour les enfants , il y a tout ce qu'on peut vouloir: aire de jeu extérieure, piscine, salle de jeu intérieure, des tables pour les changer etc. Le personnel de salle et à la réception est très attentif et accueillant. La qualité des repas proposés en demie pension (petit dej et dîner) est très bonne: plats variés et assez savoureux dans le genre cuisine collective, cuisine peu grasse par rapport aux standards hongrois. Le rapport qualité prix paraît donc très correct à ce point de vue, sachant qu'on se trouve sur un site hyper touristique, le s rives du Balaton, et à un endroit agréable et pratique (à moins de 500 m de plages gratuites, mais dans un endroit calme). Les chambres sont climatisées. Il y a bien sûr des défauts qui peuvent rebuter certains: look très rétro des chambres, tout est fonctionnel mais parfois un peu cassé ou insuffisant. Par ex nous avons eu une salle de bain rénovées, mais pommeau de douche déjà cassé, des joints de carreau pas propres, pas de tapis dans la douche, rien pour poser un savon, pas de porte serviette, et une seule serviette de bain, rien pour se sécher les mains et les cheveux, pas de seche cheveux. La literie est inégale (sur nos deux lits, l'un était très correct, l'autre matelas usé). Certaines chambres sont équipées d'un balcon. Le probème le plus important pour moi: zéro ménage!!! Sur 4 nuits nous avons demandé une seule fois le ménage (en précisant qu'il ne sagissait pas de changer le linge mais simplement de vider les poubelles et donner un petit coup de propre). Résultat: notre pancarte "ménage svp" a disparu, rien n'a été fait: poubelles pleines (par 35°...), plus de papier toilette, pas de coup d'aspirateur. Cela ne me paraît pas justifiable, j'espère que la direction prendra note de cette remarque. Ceci dit, nous avons beaucoup aimé cet hôtel pour tout le reste, et nous espérons donc y revenir l'année prochaine car les qualités décrites au début ont été pour nous plus importantes...

Pro's:

The location was pretty nice and there is quite alot to do. The activities in the hotel were pretty good, like the pool The service was fine no disrespectful people. The rooms were clean, not ultra clean but good enough

Con's: The food is of pretty low quality The hotel is pretty outdated, for example the outlet was hanging out of the wall. The bathroom downstairs next to the lobby had no locks Overall not the best quality hotel

Conclusion, if you are an 18 year old trying to find a. hotel to hang out with some freinds this is perfect but if you are seeking the luxury experience this will mabye not...
