Hotel Sun Square — Hotel in Andhra Pradesh

I’m not giving this place a 1 star rating purely because the facilities in our room - AC, TV, hot water, etc. - worked. I had booked a Suite room at the hotel for less than 12-hour stay. I was to arrive early with my family so I had checked in advance again and again with various members of the staff if they allowed early check-in. Only after they told us they did did I book the room for me and my family. Upon reaching the hotel early in the morning, we were told that our booked room had been allotted to some other guest (it wasn’t) and that it wouldn’t be available till 12 noon, which is their standard check-in time. So despite my having booked a Suite room, they downgraded us to a basic room where we ended up staying for the entire duration of our stay. When we confronted the receptionists, we were told that nothing could be done and they were unwilling to pay us back the difference because we’d booked through MMT. The final nail in the coffin was our mistake of ordering coffee just before checking out. Not only did they take almost an hour to prepare 4 cups of tasteless coffee but no waiter was available to bring it to us so the receptionist himself brought it up to our room! If that doesn’t inform you about the quality of the hotel, then nothing will. So for guests visiting the beautiful Vijaywada, there are much better options available and way closer to the railway station than this horrible hotel. Please don’t fall for any offers/discounts being offered on MMT and...

DO NOT GO WITH RATING and Review please. Not recommended at all. Gutter smell is coming from the water . Looks like drainage water hotel is using . You can not use the bath room even for face wash.. Everywhere u will get drainage smell . Room is having full of mosquito. We changed the room , the 2nd room also same issue. Wi-Fi , very slow , can not do your office work for sure. Not able to sleep whole night ..Such a painful stay here. One thing room service staff , they are good . Reception guy started fighting with us , when we complained in early morning .Pay little more and choose a nice place to stay . OWNER OF THE PROPERTY REPLIED ON MY REVIEW . THANKS. PLEASE ASK YOUR STAFF ABOUT WATER SMELL , HE CAME TO OUR ROOM 307 at 4.50 AM , TO HAVE A CHECK AND ALSO CONFIRMED SMELL IS THERE AND THEN AGREED TO GIVE DRINKING WATER BOTLLE (20 Lts). WE ASKED FOR 2 WATER BOTTLES , HE GAVE 1 , SIR - IS IT SUFFICIENT FOR 2 PEOPLE ?? WHEN WE ASKED FOR ONE MORE BOTTLE HE SAID NOT AVAILABLE NOW . PLEASE HAVE A CHECK WITH YOUR STUFF PRIOR TO RESPOND. ROOM SERVICE GUY , HE IS GOOD BUT THE PERSON IN RECEPTION IS A USELESS GUY , HE STARTED ARGUING WITH US POST COMPLAIN . I AM NOT WORRIED ABOUT REFUND OK , THIS IS SOME THING BOOKING PLATFORM HAS TO WORRY , AS BASED ON THEIR OFFER I BOOKED THIS HOTEL . HOW ABOUT MOSQUITO INSIDE ROOM ?? Good Room (305).. AC, TV (including Channels) Hot Water (24:hours) were Good.

Food was Excellent. I stayed in the Hotel only for 12 hours.. but I had Food, three times from their Restaurant....

Mr. Ashok (Restaurant), Ms. Padmam (Restaurant) and Mr. Naveen (Front Office)...'BIG 5 STARS and A HUGE THANK YOU'......these people were OUTSTANDING....their Service, Guest attention and Polite nature were highly appreciable.... 🙏🙏

The Receptionist (with extra bright red lipstick) - of morning duty (07.01.2025)...... sounded RUDE and in wrong place, ....maybe....it was because her English was below average and she lacked confidence.....both these qualities affect the Front Office NEGATIVELY.....I was witness to an incident at the Front Office... she requested a leaving guest, to rate the Hotel with 5 Stars. When the guest was not knowing why to do it, she took his phone cunningly, typed the Google review' gave 5 stars and posted it herself... the very purpose of a Honest Rating was shattered by this stupidity..

Housekeeping Dept must improve......
