Fairy Nest Homestay — Hotel in Assam

The hospitality was extremely poor. The owner constantly intruded on our privacy and showed no sense of courtesy. Despite our food being ready by 11 AM, he insisted that we vacate immediately and didn’t even allow us proper time to eat. We were forced to eat in a spare room without a table or chairs, and the plates provided were dirty with food remnants.

The room itself was clean and well-maintained, but the owner’s behavior completely ruined the experience. Would strongly advise against staying here. As google doesn't allow a direct reply to review reply which you are obviously taking advantage of, find the response attached here:

Whenever you deal with your customers. Remember certain things- If you were so strict about timings, you shouldn’t have asked us to check in only after 6 PM when the check-in facility is supposed to be available from 12 PM. Barging into someone’s flat (even if rented) without knocking or asking shows your upbringing. And FYI, lying on a sofa and kicking the sofa handle are two entirely different things. The property is located on the 3rd floor and the apartment does not have any lift which in my opinion is a drawback. It would be very difficult for senior citizens as also for families with luggages. We were 2 Adult & 2 children. Accordingly we had booked 1bhk after talking to owner who told us that 1bhk can accommodate us. The bed room was indeed quite big and spacious. There is a drawing room a small kitchen with refrigerator and a washroom. The washroom particularly the window panes and corners warranted cleanliness. The geyser was working. The property had a wifi which was working. We did not use the TV and hence cannot comment on the same. We experienced frequent small duration power cuts during our stay. The property has an inverter which was working. Breakfast (bread butter omlettee)was provided but tea/coffee was not available. The property was situated about 8/10 minutes distance in auto from Paltanbazar. The locality did not have much shops or any tea vendors and as we stayed for 2 days only arranging for such provisions were not feasible for us. We were charged Rs. 1800 per day which considering the facilities and location seemed a bit on the higher side in my opinion. We checked out at 11.30 am (check out time) as cleaning staffs had reached and we were asked to leave...

As far as I can tell, you won’t find a better homestay in Guwahati than this one. It takes just 5–10 minutes to reach by rickshaw (around ₹50) from Paltan Bazar. We stayed for one night and had a great experience. The hosts were very friendly, and the rooms were extremely clean, with AC, TV, 24-hour water supply, and an attached kitchen. You should definitely book this with your loved once.

They knocked on our door only twice—once to serve breakfast and once at 11 AM for checkout. Breakfast was delicious: 4 rotis with sabji and 2 boiled eggs. No other homestay provides breakfast like this. It's COUPLE-FRIENDLY and secure, which is a big plus.

I’ll definitely book this place again—I've already planned to! The bathroom was also clean, and the view from the terrace was amazing. Highly recommend Fairy...
