We have stayed in a few others hotel and home stay in Guwahati during our 1 month trip to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Harmony House location is by far the best. Safe local neighbourhood. The walk up apartment seems from the 1970s or early 1980s has got some charm. My booking was done through Airbnb and the check in smooth and easy. Owner Mrinmoyee gave me the caretaker contact number and i got my auto rickshaw to call and get directions. I stayed there for 1 night(5th Jan 2025) only when I visited Arunachal Pradesh and I wish i could skip this place because how horrible it was. The rooms and bed had musty smell. The washroom doesn’t have a geyser or vanity kit. Even soap was not provided to us. No drinking water in the room. The caretaker seems to not care even when we complained.
