Hotel Chandigarh Beckons — Hotel in Chandigarh

Chandigarh beckons use to be my most favourable place for any celebrations whether that is bday, anniversaries or any parties. But from the last two visits specially the last visit, the quality of the food has got worsen. Initially, it use to be the less of salt or it may be very spicy. But during my last visit on 12th May, table no 14, I think the bill no is 606. I have first ordered Manchow soup which was just a boiled water with chopped vegetables in it, I ignored it. But than came the main course which included Chinese i.e. noodles with NO/zero salt, half cooked and Cheese chilly with gravy where the gravy was so waterish that I pour it in my plate to have and my entire plate was like somebody has added water to my serving. It was again without salt and spice and was half cooked. I got annoyed and ask the manager what's wrong and he called up the chef to whom when I showed noodles and cheese chilly, the chef was kind enough to admit they were not good at all. And offered noodles to be made again and serve hot which I rejected, but they took my cheese chilly and took out entire watery gravy and gave me only cheese + onion+ big pieces of capsicum in the bowl with not even a single drop of gravy. I was with my family- my father, mother both denied having food anymore and left inbetween. Me and my wife somehow finished the meal. However the big was that I was charged for cheese chilly with gravy or watery gravy, which was not served to me. It was looking like they just wanted to get over it and serve anything. I look forward for a valid response from the hotel on this. If the quality is going to be degraded like this than I would suggest everyone to please be careful when you go next. I recently stayed at beckons and unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant as I had hoped. The hotel appeared to be well-maintained from the outside, but as soon as I entered my room, I was hit with a strange and unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. When I informed the staff about the smell in the room, they didn't seem to take it seriously and did not entertain my request to change the room.

To make matters worse, the towels and sheets provided in the room were dirty, and the electric kettle was also not clean. Basic amenities such as shower gel and a shaving mirror were not provided in the room, which made it difficult for me to get ready for the day. The absence of a full-length mirror in the room was also a letdown, as it's a basic requirement for many travelers.

On the positive side, the breakfast was decent, but it was not outstanding. I would rate it a 3 out of 5. However, the negative aspects of my stay overshadowed this one positive experience.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was disappointing, and I would not recommend it to others. The hotel's lack of attention to detail and unwillingness to address the issues I raised made for a subpar experience. I hope that they will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to provide a better experience for their guests...

The hotel Chandigarh Beckons is located just near the Government Post Graduate College for Girls at sector-42, Chandigarh. It has wide opening space for car and motar cycle parking at the entrance with lush green lawn dotted with trees and flowers round shaped mini-garden. It is well structured and constructed the contemporary and modern interior and exterior design having good sitting capacity. It is known for its function and services especially for wedding, birthday party, official and corporate meetings. Today we had get together party of our graduation friends after long time, we chose this hotel as our meeting destiny. It was neat and clean, well sitting arrangements with peaceful environment. We ordered platter for snacks and starters with lime soda 🥤 . It was exceptionally delicious 😋 to look at, their presentation was also good. The staff members were decent and well mannered in dealing with their customers. After having sumptuous platters of snacks, we ordered missi Roti with Daal Makhni and Kadahi Paneer. The paneer was little bit spicy but good in taste, Dal was also delicious, we all enjoyed a stay and made wonderful memories, it is family restaurant, smoking is strictly prohibited, which is good Thing for...
