Not a good experience, would say it was average to the best. Would start from the positive while reviewing- It was the breakfast. Delicious and aplenty, with a good variety. Another good part is the hotel's proximity to Greater Kailash metro station. The room service was good, towels and bedsheets were clean, room had good furniture. Now coming to negatives: The people in the reception aren't very helpful. They are very uptight and laidback. Also, the Time taken to cater to a request, any request, is way too long. The Refrigerators don't work in rooms. I had one in my room which had to be replaced thrice before one fridge finally did it's job. The AC started leaking water during day 1 and then day 3 of my stay. It was fixed by a serviceman on day 1, then leakage problem again started on day 3.
Avoid ordering food from the hotel for lunch or dinner. It did not taste good. Was bang average. The stairways & corridors leading to the rooms don't smell so good. Maybe hotel staff needs to look into this. Overall maybe a 3 out of 5 stars. Note: We stayed for 6 days at their hotel. On the final day, my flight got rescheduled to night 9pm instead of 5pm. Initially I was supposed to check out before 12 noon, (which is the norm time for checking out everywhere) but I tried explaining my situation and my rescheduled flight. For any incoming guests they had a lot of rooms to spare. But inspite of all this they told me that they would charge for an extra day. Keeping all this in mind, I checked out around 2pm but still they charged me the extra 1000 bucks. So thats another poor way to manage your guests and Hotel. Would definitely keep this in mind the next time I plan...
Read moreI recently stayed at BMK Hotel in Greater Kailash, and my experience was a mixed bag. Here's an honest breakdown:
Location & Check-in: The hotel is conveniently located on the roadside, making it easy to spot. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, which was a good start.
Room Quality: The room was average at best. It was not very spacious and showed clear signs of needing renovation. While the room was generally clean, there were several downsides: cockroaches in the washroom were a major turnoff, and the almirah had a persistent foul smell.
Amenities & Noise Levels: One significant issue was the noise. My room faced another, and I could easily hear conversations from the opposite room. Additionally, every time the door in the other room was opened or closed, it created a noticeable pressure disturbance on my door, which was particularly disruptive at night.
Food & Breakfast: The food was budget-friendly, which is a plus, but the breakfast options were quite limited, leaving much to be desired.
Parking: On the brighter side, there is a parking lot available outside, which is convenient for travelers with vehicles.
Overall Impression: BMK Hotel has potential, but its current state leaves a lot to improve. While the location and pricing are good, the hygiene issues, noise disturbances, and lack of proper upkeep detract from the experience. A thorough renovation and better attention to guest comfort would go a long way in improving...
Read moreStaff were all friendly but few spoke any English.||On the old scale this would be a 2 and a half star hotel. For the 7 nights I stayed there, I only met one Caucasian guest. The majority were young Indian men in their 20s or 30s, with a few appearing to be in their 40s.||The breakfasts and occasional dinners I ate in the dining room were basic Indian food. Breakfast also included optional toast and/or cereals, plus a single choice of cut fruit. A pot of Masala tea was available along with instant coffee bags and tea bags.||The bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was clean with a good shower, although water temperature was warm, at the hottest. The room surfaces were clean but tired, as was the paint work.||TV was available with a few English speaking channels. Room had an electric jug and mugs, tea and coffee bags and sugar plus powdered creamer. There was no fridge.||The hotel is on a busy road, with a slip road providing easy access. It is about 400 metres (6 minute walk) from the Greater Kailash Metro station. Useful for getting around and only 35 minute taxi or Uber drive from the airport. The nearest shopping area is Nehru Place, 1 Metro stop away. However best shopping and safest food supplies are better sourced at a major supermarket, in any of the malls scattered around New Delhi. There is an excellent restaurant across the road (Pind Baluchi) in the...
