Udman Hotel Panchshila Park — Hotel in Delhi

I recently stayed at Hotel Udman and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement.

The first thing that stands out is the prime location. Situated conveniently near the Hauz Khas Metro Station, it’s an excellent choice for those looking to explore South Delhi. The ease of access made my commutes stress-free and added to the overall appeal of the stay.

The staff service was another highlight. From check-in to check-out, the team was courteous, professional, and welcoming. It’s rare to see such genuine smiles and cheerful greetings. I was especially impressed when my request for a room upgrade was accommodated without hesitation, and I was given a spacious and comfortable room. Unlike some places, there was no sense of entitlement or expectation for tips.

I opted for the buffet breakfast, and it turned out to be a delightful start to the day. The spread offered a variety of tasty choices, and the servers were attentive and helpful. However, I felt that the menu lacked diversity on a daily basis, which could be improved for guests staying longer.

There's a restaurant inside the hotel, the morning buffet also takes place there. The restaurant has ample seating and good ambience. The hotel also provides in-room dining. I didn't order much from the hotel (as I like to eat outside) but I did like the Chai they made so I ended up ordering it every day. The service was fine too and they were mostly on time in fulfilling the orders.

As for the room itself, it was well-appointed and spacious, with large windows that allowed in plenty of natural light. Staying there during winter was especially cozy, as I enjoyed sitting by the window basking in the sunlight. All the expected amenities were thoughtfully provided

That said, there were a few drawbacks that slightly dampened the experience. The bed was firmer than I prefer, which unfortunately led to some back discomfort. My room also had a mosquito issue, but the All-Out machine provided helped mitigate the problem to a large extent. Lastly, the noise levels were a concern. I could hear conversations and movements from the corridor, and conversely, when walking in the corridor, I could hear noises from other rooms. This lack of soundproofing made me feel a bit self-conscious about privacy.

Anyways, while there were some inconveniences, the central location, friendly staff, and overall amenities make Hotel Udman a good option for short stays. With a few adjustments to the room's comfort and soundproofing, Udman has the potential to provide an even...

The hotel is very nice, clean and aesthetic. The restaurant staff and food is great -- so it has everything you want in a hotel. The main reason for my low rating is that their billing and booking process is horrible, they are totally non transparent and don't respond to booking requests. Specifically what happened with us: we booked for a lower price directly from their website, but they didn't honor that booking and left us hanging for a few days (their booking confirmation said: this booking is not confirmed until the hotel writes another email, which they never did). So we booked from booking.com at a higher price, which they honored. But when we left, they showed the booking.com booking as cancelled -- that is they didn't pay booking.com the commission and booking.com had to reach out to us to confirm that we indeed stayed at their place. It's a hassle booking with them, they are doing petty things to increase revenue, but don't realize they are losing...

From the moment we arrived, the experience at [Udman]] was nothing short of exceptional. The staff greeted us warmly and handled check-in swiftly and professionally. Our room was immaculate — elegantly furnished, with plush bedding, stunning views, and all the luxury amenities you’d expect from a world-class hotel.

The service throughout our stay was consistently attentive without being intrusive. Whether it was room service, concierge assistance, or restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable.

The on-site dining was a highlight. Every meal was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of fresh, high-quality options, and the night dining was gourmet-level.
