CALA - Curated Kitchen & Bar — Restaurant in Delhi

A perfect dining experience at CALA to say the least.

We went here for my birthday and arrived quite late , they were still very accommodating and the service was very effortless and friendly.

The ambience is absolutely beautiful, the candle lit tables outdoor add to the charm the establishment is meant to give.

The menu had a very good variety of dishes that caught my eye. We chose to the order al selection of main dishes to suit our appetite.

For our ‘primi Piatti” we tried The mushroom risotto which was perfect! I requested for an add-on of freshly grated black truffle to which they kindly obliged . The richness of the base with the scent of truffle blew me away.

The vodka chilli fettuccine was some of the best pasta I’ve had! The portion size was perfect and the flavour profile was beyond delicious. The freshly made fettuccine was Al-dente too.

For the remaining main course dishes , we got the duck breast , well done , served on a bed of risotto., topped with baby carrots.The sauce was tangy and delicious however the meat was itself overly chewy and tasted slightly underwhelming , would not get this one again.

The Norwegian salmon was cooked perfectly, with a succulent ,melt-in-your-mouth texture, it was very enjoyable. The lemon reduction complimented it very well.

The John Dory was also a great choice, much lighter and equally delicious, it’s served with an assortment of grilled vegetables.

For dessert we tried their tiramisu which is by far one of the most authentic delicious ones I’ve tried in NCR. It was very strong and flavourful, packing on a punch in every bite .

A Hidden Gem for Authentic Italian Cuisine in Delhi 👌

Tucked away in the heart of Delhi, Cala Curated is a hidden gem that serves some of the most authentic Italian food in the city. At the recommendation of a close friend, I visited this restaurant, and it did not disappoint.

The Experience:

Finding genuine Italian flavors can be challenging, but trust me, Cala Curated delivers. I ordered:

Prosciutto di Parma e Rucola Pizza & Chicken Pizza (served as a half-and-half – a thoughtful and efficient gesture)

Rosemary Scamorza Chicken

Each dish was finger-licking good and left my Italian partner amazed and speechless. According to them, the ingredients were truly authentic – just like in Italy.

The drinks complemented the meal well, though mocktails could be improved.

Final Verdict: If you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine in Delhi, Cala Curated is a must-visit. The food, ambiance, and service are top-notch, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or an intimate gathering.

Would I...

Cala at Panchsheel Park. Good and bad. Small, intimate space with a great outdoor space, I wish it was slightly lit better as it was quite dark . The food shone and sank. The pizza was great, the base crispy brown, messy cheese and tasty pepperoni and so was the papparadelle, perfectly al denté. The John Dory and the spinach ravioli were just ok. The fish needed more salt and taste while the ravioli was rich in cream.

The wine was pricey at 7500. The desserts- The tiramisu is among the best in the city and the poached cherries were good too: the panacotta was a solid piece of rock. Completely Inedible because there was way too much gelatine. The starters (we already forgot about them) were fine but as I said, forgattable. The calamari fritti and the crispy prawns were like just out of a freezer and then flash fried. The service. Super sincere but just a wee bit lost and confused. Will I be back? Maybe…...
