🚨 DO NOT BOOK IVORY FOR PARTIES 🚨

Ivory booked two parties at one time on 19th july 2025. lied to us about timings and asked guest to leave before time. Stopped dj. Stopped service. Removed our decor in middle of the party. Total disaster at my child’s birthday party!

Here is a detailed account of what happened:

Initially asked for booking of party on 20th july but was told they already have a booking for the date which clashes with sundowner timings so I changed the date to 19th which was free around 3:30pm - 7pm window. Told them we plan to wrap up by 7:30 with party slotted around sundowner and Nawin agreed. Booked with advance on 10th july. Time decided for party at booking was 3pm and Nawin the manager promised that we can start based on guest arrival an hour later. We just have to inform them and 3 hours of service would start then. Total flexibility was offered. Plus resturant promised at the time of advance no back to back bookings will be taken for glass house.

17th july manager nawin called and said we will need to vacate the venue at 6pm sharp. I requested him either cancel the party or do not have clashing party. Also I Messaged ivory on Instagram and guy bamed pawan called me assuring no issues would happen and you can enjoy the party as per timings discussed

We agreed to pay and later paid as per deal for dj separately, decor separately, and food and beverage separately.

Cut to 19th. Our guests come by 4pm and I tell nawin to start. In just 1 hour 45 minutes at 5:45 I was told please try to wrap up vacate glasshouse and service was intentionally slowed down. At 6:15 dj stopped while everyone just started dancing. Dj we paid for separately. Our decor which we were overcharged for, was removed in front of our guests. Yes decor removed in active party, (attaching the video). Drinks were stopped we were lushed to a different area for main-course. Proper negligence and harassment on display.

I tried to reach out to pawan around 6:25, sayed he is checking and m like template programmed robots said sorry and did nothing. Charged me for the same amount we had a deal for, i paid as much as they asked, already too much bullying had happened in front of the guest and politely left.

Pathetic behaviour by entire management staff Nawin Pawan and Narender.

Easily could have been avoided if they just at least cancelled my booking on 17th when i said i wasn’t comfortable with colliding timings of double booking. It was an emotional moment for me and family and we just became a victim of fraud restaurants greed and malpractice.

I will ask others in my party share their videos and experience in review also so anyone in future can be saved from being their victim.

Ivoryy Cocktail Garden, the place has recently opened in Malviya Nagar. This area used to be rendezvous before, now has 5 new restaurants and a super market. Parking is ample in the area, they have valet parking as well. My review for the lunch last Saturday is as below:

Ambiance: The place is nicely made, it has inside sitting as well as outside area. Though the outside area opens in the evening due to hot weather. They have a roof area as well. The bar situated in the inside area is quite nice till the time you see the lower area which has turned black somehow by people keeping their shoes at it, I guess. Outside area looks quite nice and has a good vibe. The only suggestion I have for the team is regarding the cutlery they have spoons and forks which have very thin handles and heavy head. It looks pretty but is one of the most uncomfortable cutlery I have ever used.

Service: The staff is nice and friendly, though I had one small issue with not specifically with the staff but the management. I was with my Kid and they allowed me in for lunch, and half way during my meal they got Hookahs for the table next to me. For me this is very stupid, they should have not allowed me with a kid if indoor hookahs are allowed at the place.

Food: This is a mixed review for the food, I ordered Potato wedges: which were nice. Spicy Crystal dim sums: which were nice & colourful but just one thing it was topped with Pomegranate which is something I don’t understand at all. The Melange of vegetables pizza: we asked before ordering if the dough is prepared fresh by the restaurant and the waiter said yes but to my surprise it was store bought base and the pizza was not that great, a total disappointment. Vegetable Thai Curry Red: This was nice and is served with a portion of rice.

Drinks: We couldn’t try any drinks just had ginger ale and sprite cans. Cost: The total cost for our above meal was 2807INR which is on a higher side for the quality of food served to us.

Overall, I expected a lot from the place after reading the reviews but frankly was a bit disappointed with the food. The service and ambiance are top notch, but the food is not at par, they need to improve the same and you can’t charge 635 plus taxes for store bought pizza base. And remember it’s not a kids friendly place as they allow indoor hookahs which is just sad, as I saw other families with kids as well...

We organized our baby shower party at Ivory on 21/5/23.

The venue being pretty compelled us to choose ivory over other 3 options at the same compound. But our experience was horrible and this post is for the owners to take strict actions against their managers handling the place (Mr Pankaj in our case).

5:30 to 8:30 was our timing of the party. And at sharp 8:20 we were told that they will now offer drinks only to people who will walk to the bar and order. After much argument they agreed to give drinks on our table and we were a strength of 43 people for which they only served 18 glasses and closed the bar. We literally had to pay and order more drinks. one of our guest requested pizza at 7:30 , reminded at 8:15 again and then at 8:30 He was told that food will not be served as timing is up. Never in any of the parties I have seen restaurant denying food straight off at 8:30 pm even when the guest had ordered 1 hour before the time was up. 8:30 was our last order for buffet too before which we requested Mr Pankaj to refill noodles understanding the fact that after 8:30 he will shut that too. He refilled it to the amount that only 5 people could eat post that. And Mr. Pankaj refused to listen or even cater to any of our requests. We eventually had to order pizza for our guest and pay extra for it. At the end before leaving, out of courtesy I told him that the decor team will come To remove the setup in 30-40 mins. His response was that if they don’t collect it within 30 mins then he will ask his staff to put all the material out on the road. This made me angry to an extend that I lost my temper. I told him that as much as they value their place the decor guy also values his material and they can’t remove it themselves and place it outside their restaurant. Had this been the case they should have informed me before hand. And as far as I remember it was just 10:30 pm.

The attitude of Mr Pankaj was beyond tolerance. Not only he was utterly rude but had a deaf ear for all our request. We eventually left with a sour taste and ruined our evening all thanks to Mr Pankaj who has no knowledge of...
