Beware of OYO Hotel Booking: A Nightmare Experience. Pathetic Service Ever
Booking with OYO turned out to be a nightmare I never want to relive. My recent experience with their hotel booking left me feeling cheated, frustrated, and disappointed.
Here's what happened: Upon arriving at the hotel I had booked through OYO, I was shocked when the receptionist outright denied me check-in, claiming that I needed to pay triple the amount I had already paid through the OYO platform. It was a terrible attempt to extort money from me and my wife, and when I tried to reason with them, they became aggressive and refused to engage in any discussion with customer care as well and denied to talk to them as well. Instead, they threatened me and my wife, making it clear that they would not allow us to stay at any cost now and said do whatever you can even after complaining to customer support.
Frustrated and desperate for a solution, I again reached out to OYO's customer support for assistance. However, their response only added to my frustration level. They instructed me to hand over the phone to the hotel management, but when I tried to do so, the staff at the hotel refused to speak to them. It was as if they were operating outside any semblance of accountability.
Lastly OYO's support team suggested an alternative hotel. Yet, to my disbelief, the same scenario repeated itself. Upon reaching the new hotel, they demanded double the amount even I had booked through Oyo. It was clear that this was not an isolated incident but rather a systemic issue with OYO's partner hotels.
This experience has left me deeply disappointed with OYO's services. The utter lack of transparency, accountability, and customer support is very very poor. OYO's failure to vet their partner hotels properly and address customer grievances effectively has resulted in nothing but frustration and financial loss for me.
