From the moment I ARRIVED it was ARRIVEDERCI(goodbye in italian)!
I've lived in Goa for a while now and I was so looking forward to trying this place. I heard such wonderful thing and had a mad hunkering for some nice pasta!
The moment we arrived there were 2 empty tables and it was already approaching end of busy lunch hours. There was one table which was sitting in the middle of two groups of out of town visitors who had obviously come together but decided to leave a table between them. Another table seated on the garden side with a view of the yard and seemed like the only obvious choice. The waiter however insisted we couldn't sit there.
Only after extreme torment between the kids table yelling over us to the adult table and us moving to the bar did he accommodate us at the other table.
I even told him as I walked through the door that it was my anniversary and if we chose to patronize would we be welcome for a pleasant experience? I later realized that yes was only a polite response to get us in the door
The server seemed to be the only one managing the whole situation while the owner sat on another table in what seemed like a relaxed afternoon debate.
The server from the first moment was only focused on the obvious out of town visitors because it seemed to be a big ticket billing. I realized this because after they left, the promoter and server got into an audible convo about the amount of the bill and the tip they left. Meanwhile us and another 3 tables were still waiting to be served with attention.
The food was lack luster. We ordered a Bruschetta, garlic bread and a spaghetti in Arrabbiata.
The bruschetta was not memorable at all and I've most definitely had better in far less reputed institutions. The garlic bread was plain baguette slices with a drizzle of what seemed to be garlic infused olive oil. The spaghetti was definitely the nicest out of the lot and although it was the most appeasing. You could taste that the chef in the kitchen had given his all to the previous customers and this was what you got.
Wish I could go back for a different experience but until I get myself to do that an honest review is the best way to help others manage their...

Authentic Italian charm in the heart of Vagator! 🇮🇹🍕
I recently visited Piccola Roma Pizza in Vagator, and it’s safe to say — this place is a total hidden gem.
The highlight? Watching my chicken pizza being made from scratch. The dough was hand-stretched, the toppings laid with care, and the whole thing slid into a wood-fired oven right in front of me. That crispy, smoky crust? Absolute perfection. I tried both the Diavola Pizza and Chicken Pepperoni Pizza — both full of bold, balanced flavors and top-quality ingredients. Moving on to the main course, the Seafood Risotto (Alla Pescatora) was creamy, comforting, and generously loaded with fresh seafood — not an easy thing to find in Goa at this level. The Pesto Fettuccine with Chicken (Pollo Affumicato Pesto) was another standout — fresh pasta, rich pesto, and beautifully cooked chicken.
Their mocktail menu also deserves a shoutout. I tried the Tricolor Twist and Berry Blush — both super refreshing, well-balanced, and a perfect contrast to the rich mains.
Now for dessert — and yes, leave room for it! The Tiramisu was light, creamy, and just the right amount of indulgent. The Churros with Chocolate were warm, crisp on the outside, soft inside, and came with a rich chocolate dip that was just heavenly.
The vibe of the place is relaxed and intimate — a mix of rustic and contemporary, with a small bar counter that adds charm without trying too hard. The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting North Goa, Piccola Roma Pizza is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Italian food done right. Go for the pizza — but stay for the pasta, mocktails, desserts, and the...
Read moreWell, let me write a heartfelt here because I have been deeply hurt. We visited the restaurant a few days back with our friend and were deeply insulted by an ITALIAN UNCLE who sits there every day. We were with our pets as usual and their pet came and attacked my dog. Instead of being sorry about it, he said and I quote, “This is not a park that you have brought your dogs, this is a restaurant” He talked to us in a degrading way and kept passing comments and all this while he did not have the courtesy to tie his dog or send him to the back side for the meantime. Our dogs were tied to the table all this time. First of all, when you have to demean pet parents like this, why do you allow them to get their pets along in the first place? The most hurtful thing was that we tried to let all his behaviour pass by but he said, you guys need to leave and rushed us out of the restaurant. Now imagine, we trust your place to have a good time, spend money and promote your restaurant to others and this is what we get in return. But you know what’s the sad part in all of this? A foreigner bullied me in my mother land and I took it all because he was old and just left in silence. Just letting you all know, so that your special days aren’t ruined by him.
I visited this restaurant at least once or twice every month since the beginning of this year, loved it so much that I have taken all my friends who visited me in Goa. And by all, I mean all. That’s how much I love their food but can have the best food in the world and it would only take you so far if you do not know how to treat your customers right that too...
