Sunshine Beach Resort Goa — Hotel in Goa

Firstly this is not a resort and only a cheap small hotel with a small pool. This pool is also most of the time in shade due to the building of the hotel. I stayed there about 4 years back and never suspected of their bad intentions due to its good location. Tourists get trapped with this hotel because of its good location on Baga Beach. When you pay them advance and check in then you realize the mistake you have done. The problem is that the owner and the hotel management have no idea about tourism or hospitality. Their only intention is to cheat tourists who have by mistake booked a room with them. So they behave rudely with tourists and have no intention of providing any service to the tourists. They will not provide you any extra towels, bedsheets or pillows if you request them. I have personally seen the most offensive scene of a waiter throwing water from a glass used by a tourist into the swimming pool and then keeping the used glass as fresh glass on the restaurant table for another tourist. Hotel Sunshine Resort is really a good place to stay with family and friends.The Exterior of the property might look old but the rooms are renovated and bathrooms are neat and clean. Swimming pool was just awesome .Also they have good parking space for 4 wheelers. Infact I was looking out for a hotel with parking facility as I drove my car to Goa and parking is a big fuss at those narrow lanes near Baga.One big plus point for this place is its location, its near to Tito's lane and you will find many shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel is safe for families with children and couples.There is no in-house restaurant in this resort so they don't serve food , but there are dozens of tea coffee stalls / restaurants nearby.One Mr. Aniket helped us with room Check-in ,Room charges with extra bed were slightly high and Aniket didn't give us good discount.Overall it was a good comfortable stay at this Hotel and I would definitely recommend others for a stay...

I went here for a few days during my vacation, and this resort isn't the best.

The toilet flush mostly does not work, and there is no toilet paper. The faucet in the bathroom is very weak as well. The furniture and bed seemed old but I didn't mind that.

The pool is exposed to the outside, and is very near to the entrance of the resort, so I prefer not swimming.

There is only one window, and that only shows a dark and dirty alleyway. The lights are dim and the window does not help.

When I requested for toilet paper, the staff only gave HALF.

Sometimes the light would go out, making the room completely dark, which irritated me. One day it happened twice, around 8:45 and 9:30.

There are better resorts and/or hotels in the area, Sunshine Resort just...
