The Baga Beach Resort — Hotel in Goa

There comes a time when a resort touches your heart, not just because of the infrastructure or the facilities, but its sheer ability to awe you. This is one such resort. Located conveniently right on the Baga Beach, as the name suggests, it is accessible by all means of transport. The famous nightclubs of the Tito's lane are just next door. A simple stroll and you can enjoy the beach in the morning till noon, eat at Britto's or anywhere that suits your fancy, come back at the hotel to rest (or hit the gym), and then stroll back to the Tito's lane for having the time of your life at Tito's/Mambo's/Cape Town Cafe/Kamaki/Bollywood Junction and many more. Shop till you drop at the Calangute-Baga Road, just a 5 mins walk. When you are standing in the middle of the resort, you can see the Arabian Sea right in front of you. Truth be said, there is no sea-view rooms here, but the middle of the property definitely has a view of the sea. So, location cannot be better than this when you are in North Goa. The facilities include gym, restaurant, hammocks, landscaped garden, swimming pool and a children's play area. The pool is smaller when compared to the standards. The rooms were the most impressive of all. They are fitted with wooden fixtures, soft to the skin. They are complete with a mini bar, water heater, geyser, safe, mineral bottle, plug points at the right places. This is the Ocean Premium room I am talking about. The only thing that ticked me was the low lighting inside the room as well as the washroom. Even with all the lights on, it was tough viewing clearly. It can be improved. The washroom amenities are completely stocked. Th major points was the wooden bench inside the shower area which added to the coolness of the same. Again, lighting was a problem. The most important point that I want to highlight is the service. Truly incredible. Right from the check-in, to the check-out, every single person made our stay comfortable. Ours was an early check-in, around 7:30 in the morning, still they managed to let us in our room. That's really impressive. Highly recommended. They have also put up amazing wooden sculptures inside the property, that can be used to sit back and relax & click pictures of course....

Location is among the plus points, located right in front of the beach and the end of famous TITO’S lane.

Every member of the staff was knowledgeable, professional, and always ready to assist with any request or question I had. Their exceptional service added a personal touch that made me feel valued and welcomed. Resort's facilities were top-notch, offering a wide range of activities and amenities for guests of all ages. Whether it was lounging by the stunning pool, taking part in thrilling water sports, or simply indulging in several activities around. The attention to detail in every aspect of the resort was evident, from the meticulously maintained gardens to the beautifully designed independent hut shape rooms that exuded both comfort and elegance. Speaking of the accommodations, my room was a complete package. It was spacious, well-appointed, and tastefully decorated, providing a serene retreat after a day of exploration and relaxation. The breathtaking views from the private balcony were a sight to behold, and I found myself captivated by the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The dining experience at this resort was a culinary delight. The on-site restaurants offered a diverse selection of cuisines, the attentive waitstaff added to the dining experience, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that every request was met promptly.

Apart from the location "nothing" is good about this hotel. They call it a 5 star. It's definitely not more than a 3 star. Their service sucks big time. The lady at the reception, Ms. Shweta, is highly arrogant, unapologetic and would not give a damn to any problems being faced by the guests. We reached our hotel at 1:30 pm. They asked us to keep the luggage at the main gate as their staff would bring it in. We reached the reception and waited for almost half an hour as our room was getting ready. Still our luggage had not arrived. Then we checked into the room at 2pm and after another 15 mins we had to give them a reminder about our luggage, after which it was sent to our room. Ours was a Courtyard category room; Room no. 202; it had a dirty stinking bathroom with a "broken" bath tub and broken tap. The bathroom ceiling was damp. The table in the room had dust accumulated on it as if not cleaned for weeks. On informing Ms. Shweta about this, she was least interested in our problem and said that we have booked this category so we have got it. The housekeeping manager Ms. Shraddha was rather helpful and polite. She came to our rescue and promptly shifted us to a better room. We had to check out at 4:30 am and so we requested them to give us a wake up at 3:45 am. Thank God for our alarms were in place as the call came at 4:30am asking us if we were checking out! Lastly, while checking out they tried charging us approx Rs. 1100/- for a meal which we didn't consume. On telling the gentleman at the reception about this, he started calling Ms. Shweta again, who didn't answer her call. They even couldn't produce the meal voucher for the meal that they were charging us for. What crooks! The resort is really small. Breakfast is very limited with no sitting space. Infant size swimming pool, that too not maintained!! There are many better options in and around Baga. Put up anywhere but not at Baga...
