Went to the club last night (18/03/25) which had a good vibe to start with (all local Asians from India and no customers from overseas) but the owner (allegedly it was the owner) was there with his other half who was wankered out of her head who for no reason got us kicked out.
The security were good guys who were just doing their job to be fair, but they couldn’t justify why we were kicked out for no reason.
Personally I don’t think the owner liked that we were dancing and enjoying ourselves therefore asked one member of our small group of 3 to be removed.
I asked the security to call the owner out but as expected they didn’t (not their fault) to ask what the issue was.
They charge a fee to get in which can be redeemed at the bar (usual club prices), however as we got there late (after 1:30 am) we we not able to spend the the amount that was preloaded on the card before the closing.
The card amount allegedly expires at 6 am however the security assured us that that we are able to use the funds left on the card today so we will check that (not that we want to go back)
This is a club for local Indians and didn’t seem like it was tourist friendly however I could be wrong as we did go in March which is supposed to be towards the closing season.
The cost to enter was 4000 rs which is loaded onto a card and you are able to redeem it on food or drinks inside.
We requested a refund on the remaining balance however were told we would be able to redeem what was left the next day even though the girl on the reception said it expired at 6 am.
I will update on if this was true or not today.
Overall the club was decent apart from the incident where the owner had one of the 3 removed for no apparent reason.
Please enter with caution if you are not local and from india.
If I had a choice I would not go back but we are going to attempt to see if the security was true to their words, in saying we will be able to redeem the remaining balance (will update).
If you are not from India, please consider before going in. The girl at the reception was nice enough to let one in to have a look (it could be because we are from U.K.) rather than just charging us to enter and it being as dry as Gandhi’s flip flops.
The staff were good people which I would not knock from this honest review.
Overall the venue is nice but you do not expect to just get thrown out of a place for no reason.
Enter with caution if you are from abroad and know...
Read moreLocated right on Baga Beach, Las Olas is an excellent spot for partying, offering a lively ambience and well-designed lighting that sets the mood perfectly. The venue features both a covered outdoor seating area with a view of the beach and an indoor space, making it versatile for different preferences.
We visited on a Saturday night, and as expected, the place was buzzing with energy. If you enjoy Bollywood music, this is the place to be—the DJ was fantastic and kept the crowd grooving all night. Be prepared for a super crowded atmosphere, especially after midnight when the indoor space transforms into a full-blown dance floor.
Food & Drinks: We ordered a pizza, which was delicious, paired with red wine and Long Island Iced Tea (LIT). Both the food and drinks were satisfying, and despite the crowd, the bartenders were impressively quick, minimizing wait times.
Ambience & Crowd: The ambience is one of the highlights of Las Olas. The outdoor area offers a relaxed vibe with beach views, while the indoor section becomes a high-energy dance hub. However, the venue tends to get overly crowded by midnight, making it challenging to find space to move, let alone dance comfortably.
Service: The staff were polite and courteous despite the rush, and the bartenders managed to keep the service efficient—a big plus in such a packed venue.
Areas for Improvement: While the energy and vibe are great, the washrooms are a major drawback. They’re insufficient for the crowd size, leading to long queues, and the cleanliness needs significant improvement. Additionally, it’s advisable to arrive early, around 10 PM, to secure a good spot and avoid the chaotic rush after 11 PM.
Overall Verdict Las Olas is a fantastic place for Bollywood music lovers and anyone looking for a vibrant party spot on Baga Beach. However, the overcrowding and washroom situation could be better managed. If you can handle the crowd, it’s worth experiencing for the great music,...
Read moreNew Year 2023 was a scam event. Icing on the cake is association of big names like Badshah to such an event. What irks me most is not the money spent, but the scarred experience I will carry for the rest of my life.
So, Las Olas and Badshah have ruined my association with all big ticket events for future.
Las Olas cashed on Badshah as if they are going to shut shop after 01/01/2023. Your management may have earned money but brought you quite some disrepute. Evidence is me coming out of my shell to write a never anticipated review.
The face of the event were the body-builders aka bar-tenders aka crowd controllers. I was simply amazed at how they were relishing on the plight of common man in his attempts to avail what he had paid for. The irony is that they themselves are no more than a common man in their own respective lives aside from NYE eve 2023. Except for one kind-hearted person, all else were feeding on this mayhem of pitiful display of lynching food and beverages.
The arrangement was shameful at best. It was as if the event manager had a large bet going on a stampede to occur. He might have succeeded but the people were beaten into desperate submission by the time the clock chimed at 12. Security for the event was conveniently ignored.
We left the event at 1210h, scarred and utterly disappointed. Never to return ever is one of the resolution I had to add perforce in my 2023 bucket of resolutions. Never to attend any of India’s hip hop star event was another resolution. Biggest was that I’ll never attend a hip hop star’s event in Las Olas, even at the...
