Club Mahindra White Meadows — Hotel in Great Himalayan Range

I recently visited this resort in April2023. I am a member to the club and visited almost 10 resorts till date ! Overall experience was very good except for FNB staff!! We were travelling with our 2 small kids and there was no kitchet available there! It was very troublesome as my yonder son is a bottle feeding kid. Any we were trying to manage warm milk for him by indirect warming method by putting bottles in hot water mug as we can’t use milk in electric water heaters! My elder son is also very choosy so we were trying to make their foods as much as possible from outside. One night when we were going for dinner one staff from Food and beverage asked us why we were eating outside?? We were shocked as they can’t do that ! There is no such term and conditions for membership. We ignored as not willing to spoi our mood. Next day same happened to my husband (Dr Sandeep)then he was very angry 😡 Staff asked why we were not eating from then and had any problems? My husband then asked for the incharge and had a very heated arguments! My son was with him and he never had such kind of experience!! We have visited Kerela,Rajasthan,Shimla Nainital Nalhdera Kandaghat Mussoorie Binsar Zim combat Snowpeak Manali and many more but never had this!! It was very rude and unprofessional behaviour of staff ! They are not at all child friendly in kitchen If you ask 200 ml milk for your kid they will charge more than 200/- They don’t serve according to my requirement so why should I eat there? They can’t serve kids chapati with ghee and potatoes then why members should eat there! Plus the quality and quantity of food they serve you can easily got in the nearby restaurants at 1/5 th price!! The person sitting in management must understand this I being a Doctor , usually eating in one of the best 5 stars hotels in Delhi NCR! They charge like them but serve like 2 ⭐️! Very nice property. Better of the two in Manali. Located around 10 minutes outside the town by own vehicle. Not walkable. If you do not have a vehicle, going to Manali every time would be difficult. Huge complex. Have a variety of rooms. Service is the worst of any club mahindra resort that I have visited in the last 17 years of membership. Did not get a welcome drink Went to the room after checkin and waited for 15 minutes for my bag but finally I had to come to the reception myself and carry it to the room which was through two levels of stairs. The guard was extremely rude to us since we came in super bikes even after we told him that I was a member and the cost of all our 8 bikes was much more than the cars parked there. He wanted us to leave the bikes open so that they can move it if a car comes! Imagine moving a 32 lac bike to the road to make way for a 3 lac car! No one from the resort intervened. Housekeeping was even worse. No refil of tea / coffee was done, and we kept calling and when no one came, after 30 minutes we ourselves walked to the HK room and got the sachets. They were there but did not bother to come and give the same in the room. We had taken extra beds, but the towels were not there and we had to again go to the HK room and pick up the towels ourselves. The door keys kept malfunctioning and would suddenly stop working. We had to walk all the way to the reception and get it reset. Took the hotel travel desk taxi for a day tour. On coming back the agent said that we have to pay it along with the bill on checkout. However, during check out the next day, early in the morning, the check out staff says that you have to pay directly to the travel desk, and there was no one there at that time. There are two seasons one would like to visit Manli extreme summers and winters when one can see the snow fall. White Meadows is one of the most saught destination in Manali. Why ! There are two aproaches to reach White Meadows where you take cross Beas and go along the road which leads to Prini and other is after crossing Manali town via old bridge and heavy traffic. In both the routes you will seldom find a desitination as tasteful as this resort is. What is good about it. The size of property and well laid out area along with it the furninishing of the rooms are simple but very elegant. The view which one can see through the windows is emaculate and during winters snowfall makes if memorable. As usual the staff of the Club is helpful. During your leaisure time you can keep yourself busy with the activities which are provided by the resort. I am sure one will never regret having been to this resort. What is not so good. Well it is not about resort but your trip as a whole. You will not find a good deal while taking a taxi from the resort. I find it difficult to see the sights without traffic jams and reluctance fromm the taxi drivier to show the sights. If you have taken a taxi from resort he will try to while away the time and make his duty count. There is requirement of change in the method of working of travel desk which should also make an endeavour to help tourist to know and see the areas. If you have booked a taxi from the resort the standard feedback for a place from his mouth will be " we will go to this location however nothing great about it" he wants to make his duty count that is it.
