Udupi Restaurant Manali — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

Had breakfast here on the last day of our manali trip. I will say that this is one of our best eating experiences in manali (along with Chopsticks which is conveniently located on Mall road)

Location : the restaurant is located on kullu manali highway so it’s easily accessible and have ample parking space.

Food : totally authentic and fresh south indian food is available here. The reason we went here was the freshness we were looking for in the food. We had dined out at multiple restaurants in manali however we had horrible experiences everywhere except at Chopsticks. Cautiously we had selected this and indeed the experience was good.

Ambience : nice and cozy environment with both indoor and outdoor sittings.

Pricing : reasonable prices for the fresh food.

Staff : staff is courteous and will attend to...

Just had food here.. I can say worst experience ever.. manager is ruthless.. taking double the money for water and when I have to take it to give my son his meds... He was laughing at us... Still we didn't have any pure veg. Hotel in manali near by we have to take dinner there.. my son was not well & chapati does not suit him when he is unwell... In dal khichdi we found pieces of chapati.... And my son's health got worst after that... When I asked why you put that in khichdi..the manager started making excuses and again started laughing at us...

Udupi have chain of restaurants... This was the worst experience.. and again they made my son's...

If you are a South Indian Food lover this is the place..!! Dine in experience was great,

Day 1: Ghee Pongal is a must try(Being a south indian). Vada is also good(A true South Indian Vada in cold region is difficult to expect) Served with Sambar(Total South Indian Flavour), Red tomato(Sount Indian with a mix of North Indian Flavour) and Coconut Chutney(Total South Indian). Photos Missing as we were very hungry to feast on the food.

Day 2: Onion Uthappam, Cheese Masala dosa were also great.
