Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre — Hotel in Gujarat

We had a fantastic 2nd stay at Crowne Plaza in Ahmedabad where we spent approximately three weeks in January. Last year was our first stay which was really nice. This time, the stay was even better considering the hospitality and overall management of this property. This Crowne Plaza continues to offer a great ambiance and is centrally located—perfect for those wanting proximity to SG Road, clubs like Karnavati and Rajpath, Thaltej and Shilaj, or new eateries like Urban Chowk or Frizbee.

From the time we checked in, we were nicely greeted by Front Office Manager, Mr. Abhed Rebel, who had assisted with our reservations and ensure that our needs were met. Being Platinum members, they were nice enough to upgrade our room to 10th floor which offered a wonderful view. Thru out our stay, we had very welcoming interactions with Mr. Jha, General Manager of the hotel, who made us feel at home during the 3 weeks we were at his property. His friendly and professional attitude is reflective of his senior leadership and we believe this is key to maintaining the property’s high standard. We give 5 stars for overall management of the property and its success squarely falls in the hands of Mr. Jha and his other leaders like Mr. Sharma, Director of Operations and Mr. Abhed - all fantastic professionals with hands on management/leadership experience.

We made use of the gym a couple of times, which was well-equipped and included a sauna and jacuzzi, enhancing our experience. The outdoor pool on the 5th floor is also lovely and a great place to unwind at the end of day with non-acholic drinks and snacks. Essence Restaurant exceeded our expectations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with live cooking stations, desert station, salad station and more. The buffet breakfast remains a highlight of the stay, and in the evening, they serve Vadilal ice cream rolls on a cold stone with a variety of toppings. For our dining experience, we would like to recognize Pragya, Amrit (evening staff for executive lounge), and the entire kitchen team for their attentiveness to our Jain dietary needs, always ensuring we had garam chai, cappuccino with hot milk, or anything else we required, such as freshly made puris. A heartfelt thank you to Execute Chef Daksh Sirwani and his team for preparing iconic Gujarati specialties like Fafda, Jalebi, Puran Puri, Thepla, and also delicious dosas. Your white-glove service truly made us feel special. In return, we took care of the kitchen staff to ensure that their service was highly appreciated by us.

During this stay, we had an opportunity to attend the Coldplay Concert which was playing at the Modi Stadium on Jan 26. We were lucky to buy the tickets last minute and had it delivered to Crowne Plaza. As soon as the tickets arrived, the Front desk team was prompt enough to notify us that our tickets had arrived which was a great peace of mind for us. Ushaben and the security team at the front door always welcomed us with warm smiles upon entering the property, making us feel at home and safe. She dressed up in a patriotic dress on Jan 26 which is attached as a photo in this review. It looked superb!

All in all, we had a great stay at this property and we would not had this great experience without the support of the property management leadership and their staff. Five Star to the entire team! He not only prepared flavorful dishes from the menu but also went the extra mile to create out-of-menu homestyle Fish and Chicken curry dishes.
