Edit (After the owner decided to give a cheeky response): Good sir, we're travellers from very far away, of course we didn't visit the hotel, I don't know if you can comprehend this but, the experience of staying at a hotel doesn't start when a customer visits the property, it starts during the first phone call that is made to enquire about the place (including the rates and such), and upon asking whether you had cheaper rooms, purely so we could make a decision (since we were a party of 8 people), the "high standards" hotel owner here asked us to go stay at a Dharmshala. Hence the review, and the single star. Please understand that your replies and your attempt to contemptuously shame a reviewer for their personal opinion based on a bad experience is being shared on a public platform and it does more damage to you, an establishment boasting of high standards than to me, a stranger on the internet. Decent hotel with very classic architecture. Just 10 minutes walk from Shimla Kalka railway station. But it is all uphill towards the hotel. Cab can take you right upto the main gate of the hotel. It is on the mesum road of Shimla. If you are using Kalka Shimla toy train, this hotel may be a good option. Pet friendly as I presume because there is a mid sized, very friendly, absolute gorgeous dog right on the lobby. Don't forget to pet him 😄. Now to the room. They are big enough, warm enough but not clean enough. Room service is good. Our room was non view, so I can't say about the view from the room. But view just outside the hotel is nice. My wife & I visited Shimla last weekend for about 4 days & during the time we stayed at the Harsha Hotel. Our stay was indeed made comfortable due to the courteous & hospitable staff. The scenic beauty of the place was heavenly & picturesque, with the mountains seeming to be at close proximity from the hotel rooms. Being centrally located, we were able to move around to the different sight seeing places of interest with much ease & comfort.
