We spend the New Year's @ Kasauli at the Adarsh Residency. It was a last minute booking for a last minute holiday. And perhaps given a chance to go first to the city, we would not have booked it - only because it is in Mashobra Village - a couple of kms away from Kasauli, the main city. However, let me say here, we would have missed the opportunity of a lifetime if we did not stay there. It is a guest house of sorts, with a kitchen inside and separate rooms, out of which we took up one. ||||A little way up the hill on a downtrodden path, led us to one of the most beautiful sunsets we had seen. The hill we were on stopped and there were valleys beyond with a mountain range on the opposite side where the sun set. Also, since it was getting cold in the mountains beyond, a huge flock of sheep (3000 plus) had come down from Kangra Valley and we had a chance of interaction with their shepherds and the golden sheep dogs. Word of Advice: Sheep dogs do not mind you petting them, but definitely do mind you trying to get close to sheep.||||The caretaker, Gopal Bhaiya is an awesome cook as well. And he would make whatever we asked for. He even arranged for a Bonfire on New Year's Eve. The bungalow next door had a very friendly female dog, black & beautiful - Keshu, who spent a lot of time at Adarsh.||||We hired cabs to travel to Kasauli and nearby other cities, which turned out to be a little expensive. Lawrence School, Sanawar was closed for the holidays, but it is an imposing figure as well. But all in all, we had much fun. ||||If you want to spend a quiet holiday, thumbs up for...
Read moreDon't book a room they have a pathetic service and you have to pay for every basic thing that's available in any other hotel
The hotel is not even worth 1 star but have to do to proceed with the posting.
Booked a hotel for my Female staff and when checked in the door were so weak like anyone can break in, there were no heater in the rooms, flush was not working, no towels were kept in the rooms, rooms were not hygienic, when asked for a refund the owner said its not his look out if we don't like the service and he wont refund the amount even after deducting one night stay. I paid him 32k + gst.
He was saying its not his lookout if the hotel is in such a state and he was expecting a lady to stay in a hotel where she was up all night because of safety reasons.
The owner is response was if a person booked a room in his hotel and stays for 15 min and didn't liked it he's not responsible to refund the money says do whatever you want don't call and...
Read moreThis is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. When we entered the room, there is dirt in every corner, The sheets are dirty as hell, the blankets are stinking, and I could see hair on the pillow cover, theres smell of cigarette, hair oil, sweat, body odour in the blankets. When asked to change the blankets they come up with a response saying "Hamare paas toh blankets aur nahi hai". The food is pathetic, they can't even make coffee, we ordered once and refrained from ordering again in our 3 day stay. The washrooms are dirty & filthy, they are just like public toilets which have never been cleaned since months. A painful and disgusting experience. Also, there are no charging points in the rooms, which is another headache, everything is broken, from toilet seat to door handles & knobs, doors & furniture are creaky, Cleanliness is ZERO ! For the amount they are charging it's not even worth a...
