Firstly, Bir is a very non touristy place. One cannot expect high end resorts with the works in a small haven like this. Thankfully, no commercialization has touched the place as yet. So, if you are the kind of person looking for high end resorts, hi fi restaurants, exotic cuisines, hotel management graduates to take care of your needs and people to service you all the time, Namlang and definitely BIR is not the place to be in. ||||Namlang is a small yet beautiful and practical place set up by Germaine with help from the local people in Bir. Its extremely economical (we paid Rs. 500/- per room for two of us) and value for money kind of place. The camp has individual cottages and rooms with a partially open dining cum lounge area. The place has local people cooking, cleaning the common ares and maintaining the vegetable garden they have. ||||You need to be your own help. Walk down and get your food from their small restaurant or walk a lil longer to the town if you want more variety. You got to clean your own room which I think is not too much to do considering the amount one pays for the room. And yes! They have loads of animals in their camp. So if you have allergy to dogs, cats, birds or any living being other than yourself, please do not bother troubling the people out there by booking yourself at the place. If you are ok with these, all you need to do is call out a loving tone and the pets there welcome you as the people there do. ||||To sum it up, Namlang is a place that lets you be! Appreciate the effort that has gone into making this place. Thank you Germaine, Pooja, Nisha and the rest of the staff for letting us stay at your place.||||All the Best and we hope to...
Read moreI wouldn't suggest booking for this resort. We had a booking here which was done on 13th October for a night stay of 19th October. We booked this property 6 days in advance however while reaching the property they accepted that the booking is there but no room was provided to us with reason stating that they have no rooms available. After so much of hustle the person available at the property offered a room in a lower quality of the property. Finally we had to leave the place and we booked "The Rana Resorts". I think it was good that this property denied our booking as we got a far better property with professional and more courteous management at The Rana resorts.||I would suggest not to book this property as they may not honour your booking and you will have no option left after reaching there.||A screenshot of my booking for this property with the concern raised with the booking site and another booking at The Rana resort attached which is proof of our issue.||This property management was so unprofessional, not recommended to book it, one should book another better property...
Read moreWe had traveled to Bir in a large group and had checked in to Namlang Himal Resort that is run by a friendly Tibetan couple with an adorable baby daughter. It was easy to find out the resort using Google Maps. The check-in was easy and so was the access to the cottages. The cottages were well-maintained and clean. The common areas of the resort, including the dining area, were also quite pleasing. I was particularly drawn by a cosy study corner in the restaurant. The children in our group thoroughly enjoyed their time playing around in the resort. The adults too had great times with their evening drinks in the tastefully-lit lawn area. Other than the slightly-slow service, the stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Also, since the resort has thick vegetation and is surrounded by trees, it's advisable to carry...
