The Regent Palms Hotel — Hotel in Himachal Pradesh

We stayed at this hotel as a walk-in and paid the rack rate. Standard non A C Rs1800, Superior non A C Rs2100, Deluxe A C Rs3000, Super Deluxe A C Rs3500 plus tax. We stayed in the one Super Deluxe room which was quite a decent room, sufficiently spacious, really clean, comfortable bed, flat screen television, desk, wifi, arm chairs and table. The bathroom was convenient. This room was opposite the lift on the same floor as the restaurant so there was some initial noise.||Breakfast was not initially included but when I pointed out that this was an expensive room, the staff decided that it was included. One down side was that a couple of the downlight globes did not work so it was rather dim at night. Also the hot tap in the basin did produce hot water so when I saw an equally impressive tap in the shower which showed left for hot and right for cold, I believed it. In actual fact hot water was produced by hold the tap left to cold then pulling it forward.||The hotel is opposite the Indira Market in the very centre of the town and the Raj Mahal Palace hotel with the Copacabana Bar & Restaurant is up the stairs...

The Regent palms service is pathetic, the staff clearly does not know the meaning of service to customer. The hotel location is good rooms are okay I can say but service is very poor I booked the standard which was Costing me Rs 2100.00 including taxes the first room wash basin was not working, when I check with reception they said they will provide me another room which same but on different floor. I agreed for the same and after some time when I went to washroom I thought I will check first and then will use I found that the washroom jet is not working I informed same this to reception they said they sending the person to check the person checked and went after 15mins I called up for follow up and staff is saying plumber is not answering the call we cannot do anything. I told them very good sir I will not stay with you anymore if you cannot give me any better rooms. They said as u wish sir. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone pathetic service not proper management no proper maintenance done. This property is waste if you spend Rs 2100.00...

What an awful establishment!!!! Our room had dirty bed linen/bath towels covered in filth and the ‘hand-towel’ which was more like a used rag! The telephone was filthy and needless to say the sponge on which the hand and shower soap was supposed to be placed after use was shocking!!! ||Almost all the TV channels did not work but every news channels did. The menu was filthy which us resulted in concluding a filthy establishment to consume food. ||The WiFi did not work but on moving us to another room 3 doors down the same passage, all the TV channels worked and suddenly so did the WiFi!||At the time of writing, we have decided to skip breakfast and enjoy it in a clean restaurant! ||AVOID this establishment which is supposedly the best in Mandi!
