The hotel room wasn’t cleaned before they offered to us although we were told it’s cleaned, which just meant that it is upto their standard of cleanliness. I had to call them to change the sheets as they had foot prints, hair all over the mattress liner etc. My stress went super high when the cleaner mentioned that they won’t get changed! I insisted to take the liner off. Bathrooms were all stained, dust accumulated all over etc., later I found out that they don’t do the vaccum cleaning. It’s dry sweep and dry mop they do. The breakfast is disgusting and no sign of cleanliness, used tissues every where on the platform where the food was served, I ended up in just having a hot omelette and decided not to use the restaurant for the rest of my stay. Reception told it is different people who operates restaurant. Next day I requested to get the rooms cleaned when we were going out. Came back only to find the rooms were not cleaned. I asked in the reception, the person started saying to me, no one complained like you did before and hence we wanted to send cleaning people whilst you are inside the room etc., I wasn’t happy at all for his reply and asked him to give details of his higher authority for me to complain. He kept saying I will ask my owner to talk to you but refused to give any contact details either email or number for me to express my feed back. Yes, it is my total mistake I ended up booking this hotel, my stay was stressful and hence I am writing this review for others to clearly enquire before their visit.
The hotel itself has good ambience, nice furniture, constructed well with spacious rooms etc., so we were attracted by the pictures but the maintenance and house keeping is really really poor, infact worse! I wish I could give my extensive opinion to the owner itself the drawbacks of why I can see his hotel going down in the future( my personal opinion) but I guess I’m just one of many other guests who were unhappy, now that I’m reading reviews!! Let's start with the good things
Now lets talk about the cons.
Very small Rooms - Paying ~4000/- inr for a room. I would expect a big room. The room we got was super small. Agreed we booked a standard room. But for us a standard room should atleast accommodate 2 people and for the price we are paying, we expected a better room.
The room Cleaning - The room when we checked in was not clean. It had paint marks on the floor. The bathroom was stinking and there was hair in the shower area.
The breakfast - The breakfast was not good here. Don't book your room with breakfast included. There are many good options nearby the hotel. Try them.
Final Reveiw - The hotel was at a nice location and had friendly staff. I would not mind this place if I was alone but if you're 2 people... Go for either a bigger room or book another hotel.
I would also suggest Avana Hotel to lower their prices for standard rooms as i personally felt it...

But the room was clean and had all basic amenities, and the bathroom was also clean and had all amenities, the morning breakfast is also good. The wifi is a bit slow and has high latency. I was getting 2-3mbps.
The worse experience was the mix play between the person at reception and the taxi/Uber rides. The person at reception offered taxi to Airport for 800 but I was able to get Uber for 700 so I denied the service. The Uber ride was with same group of taxis just outside the hotel with whom apparently the hotel has in-direct tie up. Seems like the hotel person spoke on call with someone from the group I assume asking to deny service. The Uber guy asked for cash payment and asked for 1200 (rather than 700 as per Uber app).
This definitely put a bitter taste at end to an overall good experience at the hotel.
If it weren’t for this taxi tie-up scam, I would rate the stay at hotel 4 stars. I hope the hotel management sees this review and stop the ongoing scam around their hotel with the reception...
