HRJ Sarovar Portico, Indore — Hotel in Indore City

I have been here in Month of March 2023 with my family. Booked two rooms for family. We came from Ujjain and were expecting a nice stay however completely disappointed. First they shown us two very small rooms and that too far apart. Both the rooms were smelling very bad and I think were closed for so many days. When I asked why the rooms are smelling bad the attendant told me guest might have allergy to room fresheners hence we do not use fresheners. Toilets were not clean and sinks were dirty with yellow stains.

I asked him for change of rooms, they shifted us to some other floor and to my surprise this room was also not up to the mark. We were so tired of travel and wanted to rest so we settled. Then while using washroom we found that bathroom door locks were not working and there were no signs of direction of use on showers. My parents could not understand and all they fall under the shower which started accidently. Now to close the knob one has to go under the shower because bathroom size was too small.

I called the manager and shown them the situation and asked for the change of room. They shifted us to adjacent room again.

This hotel charges premium however rooms are not that quality. Rooms and bathrooms are very small. Even they call themselves 4 star the bathroom fittings and facilities are poor.

I spent almost 14000 that night for this poor service. Even family was not happy to stay in this hotel. This is only convenient for single travelers who travel for business because of its location otherwise for family stay...

We took three rooms for two nights...Worst experience...Please rethink before staying in this hotel...Better take any three star hotel nearby...There were many problems right from start....1. We were asked to pay full amount for two nights stay in advance before allocating rooms inspite of booking thru hotel's official website. 2. Inspite of our checkin at 6pm against checkin time of 12noon, the rooms were not ready and we had to wait. 3. There is no place for driver's stay which almost all 4 star hotels have. 4. The room had a big pillar inside obstructing the path and reducing floor space. 5. The refrigerator of room was not working as well as the room door bell. 6. AC was not upto the mark in the rooms. 7. Breakfast menu was very limited with almost repetition for two days stay.Also there was no focus of staff to replenish the finished items,Moreover stale mangoes were served. 8. We requested for cow's milk for our kid which was denied by hotel and they even refused to boil the milk which we bought from outside. 9. Shubham is very good service stayed at this hotel a couple of time now for almost a week. The overall experience was good. The service was prompt. The staff is really very helpful, friendly and courteous The rooms are well maintained, clean and tidy. Rooms have tea, coffee maker, TV, AC, working table, in room dining, laundry facility. Bathroom is spacious, and was clean, neat and tidy. toiletries are available and can be requested from housekeeping. The hot water shower experience was out of this world and one of the best. Bed was king sized and was good for a sound sleep. We availed the services of seminar hall and all the arrangements including buffet dinner was very nicely done. sound system was available, ambience was good. Food was amazing. The desserts were perfectly balanced. There is a live chaat counter where they serve you some lip smacking pani puri, shev puri, Dahi puri.
