Rajdhani Hotel — Hotel in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

I stayed in the top floor of this hotel. Had my own private balcony with an amazing fort view. The garden in the hotel is beautiful and well-maintained, and the hotel has nice art deco architecture (on the exterior, inside was remodeled in the 1960s).||||I wasn't paying for a nice hotel, but what put me off about this hotel was that when I decided to clean the floor myself, one of the owners came up to my room furious. (I guess water was draining from the drainpipe they had installed. If that's not where they wanted water to drain, I don't understand why they would install the drainpipe there. Am I missing something?) And of course, the idea that guests would mop/clean their rooms for free without complaint would be a dream come true for most hotels, but instead the guy who chastised me gave me unfriendly looks for a couple of days afterwards, even though I apologized profoundly for cleaning my own room. (He eventually warmed up to me again, I think.)||||But even before I mopped my floor, the family that runs the hotel were very cold. Not rude or anything, just not warm and hospitable. When it came time for me to check out, the same guy who didn't want me to clean my room seemed surprised, "You want to check out now!?!" Ummm...yes, please. I have a bus to catch, thank you. They tallied up my total for the week, and left without a smile, a thank you or really any acknowledgement. It felt VERY odd.||||I didn't feel ripped off as the price was good and matched the amenities of the hotel. If you're on a budget, this would be a fine, but dirty place to stay. I like the friendly and very easy going vibe of this place. Walking distance to Most of the happening place and staff was helpful even late in the night. Very affordable also it's like my home in Jaipur. I make it a point to either stay or at least visit the place when I visit Jaipur. ||||I have stayed here for both personal and official visits. Hotel staff and Owner of Property are very welcoming . Rooms / Bathrooms are very neat clean .Hot water available 24 hours .
