Booked it Oyo. Location is inside a lane not accessible by cab, need to take only auto. Had lot of challenges starting from Checkin. They denied providing a room as they have issue with payments with OYO. Had called them since two days still had same issue. There is no proper service, rooms are very small and there is only one staff available. Ashok who is the only staff is very rude and literally pounds on you on your face. The owner is of no help. There was lot of work going on during our stay and when asked about it they mentioned it’s normal. We had to shift our rooms but of no use. There is no lift provision and you need to carry your luggage. There are more negatives about this place. Avoid it at all costs and it’s not worth your peace of mind when you come with family. We had booked our rooms online in advance, and initially, we were told that we could check in early. However, when we arrived, there was no one available to assist us, and the owner wasn't answering calls. At the last minute, we were moved to another hotel, Suraya Palace, which turned out to be an awful experience. The condition of the hotel was terrible—everything from the rooms, bathrooms, sheets, curtains, and corridors was in poor condition. The lift was old and barely functional. Most importantly, the staff's behavior was extremely unprofessional. They lacked basic hospitality skills and didn’t know how to treat guests respectfully. I had a wonderful stay at Katra retreat in Katra. The location is very convenient, close to the main market and easily accessible for Vaishno Devi travelers. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment after a long day.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The hospitality truly made us feel at home. Food quality was excellent, with fresh and tasty options that suited everyone in our family.

What I appreciated most was the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail in service. From smooth check-in to quick room service, everything was well-managed.
