Rajasthani & Gujarati Restaurant — Restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir

The restaurant seems to be newly opened and is being run by a Marwadi/Rajput family, but more of a startup and not a grand restaurant.

The food is more like an homely cooked by family member so its purely awesome. Somethings can be god, somethings can be normal in taste but it's very homely taste. The food also can be cooked in jain preparation on request.

They took time for almost everything when we were there mostly due to lack of people, looked like family members are only running the restaurant on their own and didn't hire people for specific work, so as less family members, things were taking time.

Cost perspective, we felt it was little overpriced. For the time they take and quantity they give, thought good in taste, it was little overpriced.

Staff/Restaurant-Family members are very humble, considerate and helpful. I hope they get profitable and hire people for other work and only keep cooking...

Don't be fooled by the name Rajasthani & Gujarati Thali. They don't understand the concept of Thali itself as their Thali consists of Roti, Chawal, and 1 Sabji/Kadhi. That's it.

Food: 2/5 as Taste and preparation is very simple & homely - so 4 points there, but Portion Quantity - Lowest I have seen anywhere Pan-India in any restaurant claiming to be Gujarati Rajasthani - 0 points on Portion quantity.

Service - 1 out of 5. Again, doesn't understand the meaning of service at all. May need an year worth of training only in this aspect. E.g. If 5 ppl are on table, and you ask for water - they give a water bottle, no glasses. On asking for glass, they will give you one. Salute!

Ambience/Food Presentation - 1 out of 5.

It is not a restaurant but a well built home cooked meal center, there is no staff no fancy dishes no ambience like a restaurant.

If you are missing home cooked meal for a while, one can go there and fulfill their desire but if you are looking for a good restaurant to eat please don't visit.

For the restaurant- Kindly don't put excessive butter in all the dishes. Try keeping some staff at handy for customer service. Kindly keep some basic things on the table. Either give finger bowl or have a wash basin for hand rinsing rather manually hand washing.
