Hotel Katra Residency- Budget hotels/ Hotels in katra — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

Real property but unprofessional people. I won't recommend.I booked them through MMT may be that's why they were not happy with me.

The first interaction was with your bell boy. Who refused to carry bags to their floor. We requested to for room service (bedsheet change) he asked to prove to him the need of change. Although we showed the sand marks on the bedsheet. He was annoyed on us for taking room on third floor. You mention that you take card payments but when we were checking out I was denied to make the payment through card. The billing person (Angrez Singh) said they never take payments through cards. I had to wait for approx 1 hour to do so. When I left after making cash arrangements he impolitely and disrespectfully said that he would never welcome a person like me. I said why and asked him the reason. Wherein I asked the bellboy the reason of his anger the other day. He replied sir we are short on staff and I had been stretching my shifts for many days. The receptionist person said that he would never welcome me because I did not make the payment to hotel directly instead Unpaid to MMT. Any ways experience was bad with , property maintenance staff and MMT. I wish if I would have come on purpose to prove something but fortunately my purpose was to have glimse of Mata only. God bless you all and I pray to her that when anyone of you go to other place for stay you shouldn't be getting people like you there to service you.

I won't recommend this hotel. False promises. Free wifi ( Conditional as it does not work on third floor) Kid Friendly ( there is a botanical park near by I hope they are not counting that) No card payment option If you are coming through third party booking , I am not sure how they will react specially the billing person. Specially #makemytrip Food is good but utensils seems like never washed. I wanted to post that photo but don't want ruin someone mood. They did provide drop facility. Rest they gave me a negative experience so I would never recommend. Peace of mind...

I stayed for two nights at Hotel Katra Residency, Katra with family. One of the reasons for selecting this Hotel was that it was "Yatra Certified". I had very pathetic and awful stay here, which raises doubt in my mind about Yatra assessment or certifying Hotels. There is nothing good to write about this hotel but I will list about how bad things are at this hotel and would advised everyone to avoid this hotel:||1. Dinner was included but very limited options was available from Menu.||2. No bed tea could be served. The reason given was that kitchen has run out of stock of tea leaves to prepare tea.||3. For triple occupancy for which I paid for, the room had only two towels of hand towel size. No full size towel were available for bathing.||4. No room cleaning done on 2nd day of stay, nor replacement of towels. No Housekeeping.||5. The Hotel advertised "Free drop at Banganga", but it is all lie. The Hotel staff told that Banganga gate is closeby and no transport is required and guest may like to walk down. I have to pay on my own to reach Banganga gate as i was not willing to walk any extra mile.||6. Dinner quality was bad. Food was not tasty.||7. Unfriendly and uncooperative staff. Doesnt seems to be professional from Hospitality industry which speaks for standard of this Hotel. On every little issue the staff kept calling owner for confirmation/permission.||8. Worst Hotel...We were in Katra for 2 days...We booked the hotel Katra Residency by phone ...while talking on phone they are talking like that's a very good hotel & we were very happy that we could receive good hospitality there.. We paid the advance money by paytm....When we board the train & called them to confirm the pick up.. They told us that your booking is with something another hotel.. " I forgot the name" but when we said them , we booked for Katra Residency, then they became agree & share the pick up details...

When we reached the hotel. they have no room for us as we booked for deluxe room.... they provide us family room for a short period.. after fresh-up we leave the hotel for Bhawan..

When we came back..they provided us the deluxe room which was so horrible...there was so many cockroaches in the room & bathroom... & on the bed too...Our daughter was crying that we will not sleep here....when we said about this to the reception... they told us, we do spray here..but no one came for the same...& we sleep there with open the light, whole night..

There was lots of rats in their restaurant also..

i didn't recommend this hotel specially with children...because that is not...
