Kashmir Holiday Resort — Hotel in Jammu and Kashmir

I booked the fanciest room they had after looking at lots of different websites. They said it was close to Dal Lake, but it wasn't really. They charged me extra saying it was a room with a view of Dal Lake, but it was actually 3-4 kilometers away, so you couldn't see anything. It felt like they tricked us with this.||||The hotel was in a really bad area, one of the worst area in the city. Getting there and leaving took forever, like 45-60 minutes each way. I booked for 3 nights with breakfast, paying almost half upfront. But after one terrible night, I left the next morning.||||When I tried to leave, they wouldn't let me and wanted me to pay for another day without caring about my problems. It was the worst behavior I've ever seen from a hotel in Kashmir or India. We arrived late at night in heavy rain, and because of bad food, a bad room, and terrible service, we wanted to leave the next morning. Luckily, we found a much better hotel nearby Dal Lake called The Wallison Hotel. We walked just 1 min to reach Dal Lake and restaurant from The Wallison Hotel.||||When we were checking out, we refused to pay more because we'd already paid extra and told them we were leaving early. But the owner insisted we pay more for canceling the room, even though we told them early in the morning. It felt like they only cared about money and didn't care about their hotel being bad, lying about it, or giving bad service. We even found stones in our Tandoori Roti, but we didn't complain that night.||||They wouldn't let us leave and made us feel like hostages just to get more money, even though we'd paid everything we owed.||||We stayed in Jammu-Kashmir for almost 12-13 nights, and this hotel was the worst, but all the other hotels and people were great.||||I really recommend that tourists don't go to this hotel at all, even if all the hotels in Srinagar are full. It's better to stay in a different city or another hotel where you get what you pay for. I had the worst resort stay experience here in this resort. Didn't like it at all.

Below are the areas where I had a disconnect

Not even a single activity available inside the resort. The Receptionist straight away denied, when asked. Though there are a lot of activities found mentioned on makemytrip while I was booking

I have booked the room for 3 adults but every time they keep the amenities according to 2 adults only. I had to call up the reception and request for the additional one each and every time. They even denied quite a time to provide the same as well

I have paid around 10k for one night stay in this resort but still they charge for small petty things like water bottles etc. they said only 1 water bottle is complimentary inside the room, but If 3 adults are staying in a room, can't resort provide two water bottles inside the room..!!

Only two hangers were found inside the cupboard, when asked for 1-2 extra, they straight away denied by saying only two hangers are allowed to be kept inside the room

Only two Cups were kept inside the room, when asked for one extra cup (as we were 3 adults in the room) from the reception, they straight away denied initially and said you need to wash the soiled cup by your own and reuse it.

Room service was pathetic, they were not at all responding on time, had to call up the reception again and again for small petty things

They have not even kept the extra bed inside the room. It is done post I reminded them by calling up at the reception

At the time of check out, they have done an incorrect billing, Which I have identified post calculation, then they rectified the same later on

Overall, I had the worst experience by staying in this resort, I would not recommend it to anyone
