Title: Disastrous Experience at Radisson Blu Hotel, Jammu
I recently had the misfortune of hosting wedding event and guest's stay at Radisson Blu, and the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment our tired guests arrived after a long journey, it was clear that this hotel lacked even the most basic standards of hospitality.
The check-in process was a debacle. Despite providing detailed lists of room allocations in advance, the reception staff, led by the ineffable Kunal, managed to turn a simple task into an ordeal. Not only did they make our exhausted guests wait unnecessarily, but they also expected me to do their job for them. The lack of professionalism was only matched by their appalling attitude towards customers.
Our interactions with the event coordinators were equally dismal. Despite numerous discussions and assurances, they failed to take note of any of our preferences or requirements. The end result was a wedding that bore no resemblance to what we had envisioned, despite the exorbitant amount of money we had paid. Customization? Forget about it.
To add insult to injury, the staff's incompetence extended to basic event planning. They seemed blissfully unaware of our scheduled events and were utterly unprepared when we approached them for assistance. The rudeness of the valet and wait staff only served to compound our frustration, with their behavior bordering on harassment.
The pinnacle of our ordeal came on the day of the wedding event itself. Despite clear instructions for the decoration of the Mandap, what we received was a hazardous mess of wet mats and exposed wires. The safety hazards posed by this negligence resulted in multiple guests, including myself, receiving electric shocks. It was a miracle that no serious injuries occurred.
Even simple matters such as billing proved to be a challenge, with erroneous charges appearing on our account despite having hosted meals for all our guests at the hotel's restaurants. The staff's response to our concerns was dismissive at best, leaving us feeling both frustrated and disrespected.
However, amidst this chaos, there was one shining beacon of professionalism: Abhi Sharma. Unlike any other staff member at the hotel, Abhi was consistently polite, attentive, and genuinely eager to assist us. His demeanor stood in stark contrast to the incompetence and rudeness exhibited by his colleagues, and his efforts did not go unnoticed.
Our experience at Radisson was an unmitigated disaster. It is my fervent hope that they take this feedback to heart and undergo a drastic overhaul of their operations. Until then, I would strongly advise anyone considering hosting an event or staying at this establishment to look elsewhere for their...

On the day of check-in, we were early and the rooms were full so we had to wait for a while (like 3 hours) but the staff were helpful, the lobby was comfortable and overall a pleasant atmosphere with our luggage being taken care of.
The room was thoughfully designed with basic to necessary essentials being provided, even a good working bath tub. The beds were comfortable and the outside view was amazing [ we didn't get the pool view though :( ]. Shower's water pressure was great, and everything seemed fine until some issues were noticable. The AC was not good with slow cooling. The door didn't lock propery There was a water pile up problem, where the water was not drained properly because of the poor bathroom design. But all these issues where solved when we requested for a room change, and they were very cooperative and we had a smooth change to a better room.
The breakfast was amazing, loads of varieties, good taste, some on-demand food, quick and assisstful staff and overall a great buffet experience. We had a breakfast for 2 for free. There was an outdoor dining as well, but considering the hot summer weather, almost no one opted to sit outside in the raging sun.
We then went to other amenities provided on the 2nd floor of the hotel. Firstly, the swimming pool. Where do I even begin, I had one of the best experiences in the hotel at the pool. The water temperature was perfect, the place was well constructed, there juice available, loads of towels everywhere, nice sitting area with adjustable head rest and shower area. In the evening, with the lights turned on, the place looked amazing. Secondly, the gym. It wad good, although it was not too big, it had the main machines to keep grinding. A good tv, pool view and equipments.
The passage of the hotels were brightly lit and broad. The room numbers were a little of poor design, and you just don't get it in the very beginning but you get a hang of it. The elevators are only accessible by room cards, which has its own advantages and disadvantages. The luggages are properly scanned at the entry, active guards and bell boy and overall a great...
Read moreSo , Here I'm writing about my experience at Raddsion Blu Jammu. Yep! I'm a bit late to update as I got busy after reaching home.
Story starts back to 2nd July when the dates of AirForce examination were announced , my examination date was 14 July and centre was Jammu. After the reservation of tickets the major problem for me was to find a perfect place for stay. After a lot of research over web and travel app and websites I reserved my room at Raddsion for 13-14. It was a bit costly but somehow fitted in my budget. It was going to be my first stay in a 5 Star. And to be very honest I was nervous and Scared about how it will go. About the staff , the services , the costs and all. Finally I reached there at 7 am on 13th July my check-in was of 12 pm. I asked for early check-in at reception , the answer was not in my favour and as I was much earlier then my scheduled time so, it was very hard to arrange room. I was offered to sit in lounge. Being hungry , I went to look for some breakfast in the restaurant the waters there served me a very soothing cup of tea and there is this guy SUNNY VERMA , a very charming personality and the most humble human being I've ever met , he's the restaurant manager there. I finished my tea and he offered me to have some sandwiches , I said no I need to rest as I've my exam day after tomorrow and I've traveled a long way of 600Kms to reach here. I told him that I reached early and no room can't be made available according to the reception staff. He very beautifully said sir , give me 10 minutes and we'll do our best for you. He did it , he made my early check-in possible and that's where I felt , Yeah , I'm in 5 Star. From early check-in to late check-out SUNNY made it all possible. While being at dinner we had a lot of conversation and literally we became friends. I just can't describe my whole experience in words. The staff, the services , the food , It was All awesome. HONESTLY , for not even a single second I felt like I'm miles away from my home. The HOSPITALITY was I like I'm their family.
Applaud to whole Raddsion Blu Jammu Staff and a major THANKYOU to my Brother SUNNY and his team.
